By interfering with the Supply and Demand of any product the player is messing with someone's money. Playing with other people's money is one of the surest ways to turn up missing. I would inform him of this, and if he chooses to go ahead with it then so be it.

I have been trying to get back on this site, since my last message. I either got to a PC that would not cooperate or the site was down. Anyway I will be back next week, hopefully by Wednesday.

My internet went out on Friday(17th). I tried going to the library, but the site was not cooperating for some reason. I can try to get 2 to 3 post in a week or you can write me out until next month, which is when my internet should be fixed.

I am expecting to lose my internet any day now. I was actually expecting to lose it on Monday that just passed. I hope they forget about me until I get paid.

You players will probably wise up to this, and start taking magic item creation feats.

That quickened spell is countered by the +4 level adjustment to the cast spell. There is no cost for this blank spell. Wizards already have enough power. If someone is close enough to take your spell book they are close enough to hit your wizard, and with d4 hp you need to be trying to recreate...

My post was just an example to use for pricing the ring. I did not do any research to see what the minimum caster level actually was. :)

Disclaimer:I only read the OP's post It should also be limited to +10 like Dispel Magic and the limit of the bonus should be equal to the caster level it was created at. As an example if he only uses a 5th level caster he only gets to add 5 to whatever he rolls.

I guess we could go for the recruit thing first. These games are hard to maintain because of story pace, I think.

I dont think a flat HD formula will ever work to well. Each race should just be assigned an ECL according to its merits. I understand this was not done due to the amount of playtesting it would take, but it would be better. I have never believed drow were a real+2, however luckily enough...

Is this game still going? I will admit my last few posts have been rushed, but it did give me something to look forward to. If the adventure has come to an end I will purchase it. I think I will enjoy running it as a DM.

My group does not use the favored class rule, and I have never had to deal with 3 or more Base Classes for one character, but if I did I would enforce the 20% rule for more than two base classes.

But then they have to use/waste, depending on point of view, a spell just to use the feat, and the point of the reserve feats is not to use spells. I will also admit I don't remember how long Spectral Hand last so it may last long enough that it does not matter, since it could be cast prior to...
