    [D&D 3.5][FR] Silverdale (IC)

Silverdale With a population of only about one hundred able bodied men and women and their families, this tiny speck on the map faces an uphill battle. Established by the Dales Council, the town is meant to be a trade stop and defensive position at the mouth of the Shadow Gap. The town...

    [OOC] [D&D 3.5: FR] Silverdale

Good to go, Myth, please post her in the Rogue's Gallery thread. Everyone, just FYI, I'll want a summary of changes when your characters level up similar to what Myth has on her sheet for her 1st level stuff. Watch for the IC thread to pop up some time today.

Deicide: The slaying of Cyric. 3.5 Epic

Somewhat literally (being metal and all). :D I think I am going to relinquish my spot to someone who will have more fun with optimization end of things. I have a preference for starting at 1st level and working my way up and creating high level characters is just a chore. Sorry everyone and...

Final verdict on keen rapier w/ improved critical?

Thread Necro. :D This discussion was about the 3.0 critical rules. Back then, Improved Critical and the keen property did stack. That was revised in 3.5.

D&D 3.x Did the chitine and meazel ever get a 3e version?

Yes, both are in Monstrous Compendium: Monsters of Faerun, a monster supplement for Forgotten Realms that came out shortly before the 3rd Edition Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting.

    Animal Companion

What you're looking for specifically is the rules for advancement for animals. Take a gander at the Animal Type. At 3 HD, your Eagle will have a BAB of a 3rd level cleric (+2) and base saves of Fort +3, Ref +3, and Will +1. He'll also gain 2 skill points and a feat. Finally, as an Animal...

Deicide: The slaying of Cyric. 3.5 Epic

Yep, half those things you listed aren't in the books sitting on my shelf. I'm the kind of player that will spend all of a high level character's gold in his backstory with nothing to actually show for it (spent several hundred thousand gold on a big wedding a few years ago, had a kid, only to...

Deicide: The slaying of Cyric. 3.5 Epic

Ugh. Shopping. Hate it. Can I take Vow of Poverty and still keep my spellbook? :D

Deicide: The slaying of Cyric. 3.5 Epic

Exactly how far back in time are we going? And what is our origin time?

Deicide: The slaying of Cyric. 3.5 Epic

Okie dokie. ;) I am always about story over mechanics so I make my choices based on what makes sense for the character's background and personality.

Announcing the 2010 ENnie Award Nominees

Really? I did not know that. That's pretty spiffy. :D And it is a nice, simple, diceless system for younger players.

    [OOC] [D&D 3.5: FR] Silverdale

Deicide: The slaying of Cyric. 3.5 Epic

Ack. I don't have PHB2 and, honestly, I think I'm going to have to drop out of this game. Optimization just isn't my thing and building the best character is not fun for me.

Announcing the 2010 ENnie Award Nominees

The inclusion of the Warriors Adventure Game in the Best Free Product category is an interesting choice. My daughter is a Warriors fan and we've played it a couple of times. I'm curious to see if Harper Collins acknowledges (or even notices) the nomination.

Deicide: The slaying of Cyric. 3.5 Epic

No idea what book Abrupt Jaunt is in. Besides, my familiar is another minion/critter to add to the mix. :D

Deicide: The slaying of Cyric. 3.5 Epic

Human Generalist Wizard (spells and feats focused on getting as many minions, cohorts, summoned crtters, etc, as possible).

Deicide: The slaying of Cyric. 3.5 Epic

I don't watch the Simpsons (animated puke splattered against the inside of the tv screen...sorry, did I say that out loud?) Pardon if you've seen this joke before over on the Asylum... It shall be a monkey. And it shall be a monk. And he and his minions shall be known as... Monkey Monk and...

Deicide: The slaying of Cyric. 3.5 Epic

Hey, if anyone is going to play an anthropomorphic simian, it has to be me. :D

Deicide: The slaying of Cyric. 3.5 Epic

Just FYI, I'm going with a generalist wizard who just happens to focus on Necromancy, Conjuration, and Enchantment spells (basically anything that allows him to have hordes of minions).
