[3.5e D&D Greyhawk] The Sunless Citadel [OOC]

If not for the prior familiarity clause, I'd jump on this in a heartbeat. Alas, I've run Sunless several times and am, in fact, currently running it via PbP over on the Asylum. But, I've never played it and would dearly like to. Ah well, have fun. :D

Interview with Pramas-chu; or "Green Ronin & DC Interview"

Is the four book run a hard limit? Does the license expire after that? Or will there be more books if the initial run does well?

    Things you never did

Not going to college. I joined the Air Force straight out of high school and got married and started having kids while I was still in the service. I still plan to get a degree someday, but the actual college "experience" is one I'll never have.

What actor would play your character?

Current character (4th Edition Minotaur Warden): Probably Michael Clarke Duncan.

    Spelljammer Modules

I personally adore Spelljammer but the number one objection I get from players (especially my wife) is the altered physics. They just can't suspend disbelief for the air pockets and gravity planes and crystal spheres and generally non-science based way the universe works.

I need a list of RPGs based on (in)famous media!

Also... 2001 and 2010 (Arthur C. Clarke books/movies) were done as supplements for Star Frontiers. I believe there was a James Bond/007 RPG at some point. GURPS also did Witch World, the Andre Norton series of books.

Consulting the Sages - a Poll by Edition

I've almost always had a player who played a sage. In other words, a player character with extensive knowledge and/or the resources to research stuff.

Classic Adventures Modules -- wishes and failures

Failures: Not a classic as I define it, but I tried running Scourge of the Howling Horde and ended up with a TPK in the first couple of encounters. Our group's epilogue to the adventure featured one of the named bugbears in the adventure using the Warforged player character's skull as a soup...

I need a list of RPGs based on (in)famous media!

There has been a couple of Professional Wrestling based RPGs, the most recent being Know Your Role, a d20 game based on the WWE.

How often do you provoke AOO/OAs as a DM?

I always base it on the critter's intelligence and a bit of roleplaying. A centipede isn't smart enough to avoid an AoO, it just barges right in. A wolf would probably avoid them if it can help it, though. A minotaur is likely to charge into combat, not caring about AoOs. A goblin, on the...

Have you had any fun intros to a campaign.

You are all in a tavern in a busy southern port city, though you don't know eachother. The tavern is quite busy with many travelers. All seems normal until you hear an odd shriek on the wind outside. Then a rumble. Then the ceiling comes down around you. Chaos ensues as the people in the...

    Stat Generation through Editions

The D&D Rules Cyclopedia mentions only one method: Roll 3d6 and place in order - Str, Int, Wis, Dex, Con, Cha. You can then adjust them by raising one score (your Prime Requisite) by one for every two points by which you lower another.

Who would win in a fight?

Elminster. He can conjure up some Kryptonite. Bye bye supes. Neo's powers only work within an artificial electronic construct. El doesn't need magic to just unplug him. Luke is the only who would put up a decent fight and El has a large enough variety of spells to hold him off and subdue him.

    What do you always use?

The Death Dragon - A huge city/magical flying ship thingy. Sometimes its haunted, sometimes its a city/fortress for Githyanki, sometimes its something else, but its always there. The Dagger of Souls - Kind of a "One Ring" style artifact that is sentient, evil, and consumes souls.

    D&D 3.x 3.5 - Lycanthropy

Page 93 of Monstrous Compendium: Monsters of Faerun has the basic info. Note that the entry is entirely flavor as it is based on the stats for the standard werewolf in the Monster Manual.

    D&D 3.x 3.5 - Lycanthropy

The alignment is purely a flavor thing. For example, the Forgotten Realms has Chaotic Good werewolves knonwn as Lythari. No game mechanics changes, just a simple note that they have a different alignment.

OD&D Is the OD&D Rules Cyclopedia worth it?

From a personal gaming perspective, the Rules Cyclopedia is one of the best D&D books ever published. It is a complete game in one book (something otherwise unheard of for D&D). However, it is a 'cyclopedia in that it is a collection of all the BECMI D&D rules and is thus not terribly beginner...

What 4e Fluff do you Like?

Revenants and Assassins. I especially like the new take on assassins and the Shadow power source.

First Impressions from the D&D 4E "Test Drive"

Regarding miniatures, you don't need them. ;) I sold all of mine, though I will confess to being a Dungeon Tiles addict. For Keep on the Shadowfell, for example, I use Fiery Dragon's free Castle of Shadows Counter Collection. They have numerous other counter collections that are far...
