    How do You start..?

I take the same route much like Psion. The classic questions Who? What? Where? Why? and When? guide me in the development of my ideas into BBEG, NPCs, towns, geography, etc. The more I can fill them out the greater the depth and broader application of my adventure writing. I do the same...

    Dead Celebs - 2005

Me, too, Fast Learner. I loved watching him with Knucklehead. And now John Fiedler has passed on. :( Fiedler was one of the most non-imposing individuals ever to cross the movie/TV screen and yet he was in so many productions it is mind boggling.

Mushrooms, pepperoni, canadian bacon, and sometimes just plain old cheese.

Just Curious ... Hom many come from AD&D?

Started playing late 1979 and continued with 1e. We never got into 2e. Then marriage, kids, moving, more school, etc. came for all of us and the late 80's was hit and miss. We recently started playing 3/3.5 and are loving it.

David C. Sutherland III passed away (merged)

This is sad news indeed. :( Those images of his still shape the game for myself and friends after all these years.

    Dead Celebs - 2005

Ah, bummer! :( I loved Askin's portrayal of Burkhalter, especially his dialogues with Col. Klink. Man, I didn't even realize he was with us until a few days ago.

Death Reaper Coming to Battlestar Galactica

I could see the President dieing along the way. The show makes it quite clear that her cancer is incurable and she only has a certain amount of time left.

    What do they expect?

First, you were not wrong in killing the monk. There are consequences to our PC actions and the way you explained it everything you did as a DM was above board. Plus, as you mentioned, you explained to them the nature of their weakness of level against NPC strength. Everything would have been...

    Farscape (No Spoilers)

As has been already stated: indepth characters and plot. The FX supports the storyline, not dominate or be the story line. Plus, it was different. The producer and writers dared to create a universe that wasn't a clone of another.

    Do prestige classes curb creativity?

I always considered building my character the way I envisioned to be the way to go because it truly will reflect the way I want to roleplay my PC.

    3 day weekend!

Well we start tonight with several friends over for supper (grilled hotdogs and hamburgers -- yum!) and a movie: National Treasure. Tomorrow is my Birthday and Monday the wife, the kids and I just hang around, maybe hit the mall. I think I'll go fishing, too. Memorial Day Weekend: The...

What 1st ed AD&D Adventures are the Best? List them here!

WG4 - Forgotten Temple of Tharizdun. This was actually my first exposure to a 1E module, as well as the Greyhawk setting, and I have very fond memories of it. I3 - Pharoah. For sheer entertainment this is right at the top. Someone listed Judge's Guild and I have to mention Tegel Manor as...

Star Trek cast blames the bosses

Nice and neat and rebukes the Berman "fatigue" gambit. I don't think in the least that the Trek world is fatigued because you got a whole galaxy out there with so much to explore. But I still contend that it is Berman and Braga who are the fatigue here.

Star Trek cast blames the bosses

Berman talks about fatigue. Well Berman and Braga are the fatigue. This franchise has been in their hands a long time and at every new inception of Trek the audience became smaller as it went. Now I could be wrong, but I have never heard either of them take blame for any of Trek's demise.

What do you dislike about 1E?

I have many fond memories of 1E game days, but like Crothian said, it really did limit leveling for non-humans which was a pain. That is why so many of the players I was associated with when they played a demi-human they would multiclass with one class always being a thief. Why? Because the...
