So, has anyone played Song of Ice & Fire RPG Game of Thrones Edition?

They're mentioned in the Narrator's chapter in the Adversaries and Allies section. I can't say if they're in the Pocket Edition, but they're in the original edition (which is what I have).

So, has anyone played Song of Ice & Fire RPG Game of Thrones Edition?

Most errata. Some dropped. Most changes are for clarification, although some Benefits and Drawbacks were updated to reflect more info gleaned from more recent books - mainly the supernatural stuff like Warging and Greendreams. For what it's worth, for those who don't have the Game of Thrones...

So, has anyone played Song of Ice & Fire RPG Game of Thrones Edition?

Note there are three types of NPCs: Primary Characters are built just like PCs, have Destiny and Qualities, and may take Injuries, Wounds, and Frustration. Generally, these are characters are important across an entire chronicle. Secondary Characters are good in one specific area of the game...

So, has anyone played Song of Ice & Fire RPG Game of Thrones Edition?

Bite him, or bite him effectively? ASoIaF RPG follows the idea that armor makes you easier to hit, but harder to hurt. And as an aside, abilities like the wolf's knockdown are great against heavily armored characters - you get higher ground against prone people and they need a Greater rather...

So, has anyone played Song of Ice & Fire RPG Game of Thrones Edition?

It's been my system of choice for a couple of years now. I've had no major issues with the rules mechanics, although some of the descriptive charts seem out-of-whack with what's achievable via mechanics. The tricky part is balancing encounters - both combat and intrigue can easily be...

UPDATE: Hasbro files lawsuit - Warner Bros. to make a D&D Movie. AICN

Hasbro didn't have much choice; those rights were gone long before even WotC came into the picture.

You and Your Characters: Gender and Sexuality

I'm male, and play whatever flits into my mind, even discounting when DMing. Pretty well represented on all gender and sexuality continuums.

    Why Do You Game?

To crush my enemies, see them driven before me, and hear the lamentations of their women.

How do you handle politics, intrigue and socializing in your TABLETOP games?

I've been fairly exclusive to GR's A Song of Ice and Fire RPG the last several years, and it has solid mechanic for intrigues in the shadows, and houses/kingdoms to add dozens of factions in varying alliances.

    OOTS 0879

Specifically, he was exiled because it was said that if he returned home, bad things would happen. Later, when the Oracle was asked how/when he would return, he was told post humously. This, then, would appear to be a twist to make that second one not so good...

    Let the Ringbearer decide...

I've been playing LEGO Lord of the Rings recently, and just passed the part where the Fellowship is prevented from using the pass of Caradhras and chooses instead the Mines of Moria. (This discussion isn't limited to the game; that just happened to be what made me think of the scene) And with...

Does asking for something get you a No response?

I notice no obvious trend either way; it's all in the context of the request.

How to tell someone not to come back.

"Everyone coming next week, raise their hand." "Not so fast, Bob..." But seriously - surfing the 'net during a game (and presumably not looking up rules)? That's being a jerk.

    The Sinking Isle!

It'd have to be a significant tsunami : my understanding is that the ocean there is either 1400 or 14000 (not sure how many 0's) ft deep, and there's no sign of any underwater terrain that might support the island either.
