    The Sinking Isle!

Having not seen those sources, but having heard the above from multiple places, are you sure it's not on sea charts? Maybe not current ones, but it may have been on older ones (of course, those could have been salts themselves before safety was a concern.

    The Sinking Isle!

The difference is that introducing an island that's not there could cause problems with ships at sea - if in distress, they may go towards someplace that can't actually help them. At least with city maps, these salts tend to be deadend streets that don't change any navigation details.

Why does the idea of no Free Will bother some people?

I more or less agree with you: I have free will in the sense that nobody can perfectly predict what I'll do, nor control what I do. I don't have free will in the sense that I can't act outside of what my biology and anatomy allow. People who have an issue with "no free will" tend to use the...

    Dusk: The World of Carthasana

Perhaps something movement related? Gain a power point when engaging a new enemy (encourages tha barbarian to run around battlefield or the ranger to stalk new targets). Also, very much enjoying the designer/development insights.

    Iron Man vs. Thor

While certainly not authorative, this implies no.

A non white male middle class British Doctor?

With a good script, any of them could be changed successfully. That said, I'd be least receptive to losing the British part.

    Fudging is not your friend

Ditto Except the "previously mentioned" part. I have all sorts of tools at my disposal, even if they don't get used. Throwing it away seems so... Final.

    Iron Man vs. Thor

Even without having seen the movie, I can guarantee they didn't go as I would have scripted them. That's not to say they are good, nor mine better, but different? Certainly. That's both the beauty and blemish on superhero team ups - writers have favorites :)

Big changes a'coming! Merging the D&D forums

I'm rather indifferent to the change, but I'll echo something mentioned above - how will the tags effect or interact with Tapatalk?

National Symbols: Uncle Sam's foriegn counterparts?

Not sure about Canada in general, but a lot of people seem to use Anne of Green Gables in such a role for PEI itself.

    Secretive Behavior and Conspiracy Theories

It's a murder of crows, but the (apparently obsolete according to Wikipedia) collective nouns for ravens are "conspiracy" and (my new favorite) "unkindness".

    Fudging is not your friend

Of course fudging is your friend. But he has mood swings, and occasionally he's not really looking out for your best interests. So you have to pick and choose what game nights you invite him to, as with any gaming friend.

    Secretive Behavior and Conspiracy Theories

A conspiracy of mods? So you're saying the mods are ravens? Dark wings, dark words...

    Tabletop Gaming and Intellectual Conceit

To be fair, one thing thing many RPGs don't do well is distinguish between intelligence and education. I don't necessarily think gamers are more intelligent, but there is likely a strong correlation to gamers being more educated. - many gamers got their start in college/university - many RPGs...

    Just need 20 more xp!

Very common in my groups, but I chalk it up to lack of planning - our long ago games were very much a tour de force of the Monster Manual. Once we switched to actually (sort of) planning proper adventures, such things happened less frequently.

    Rules Reprints And Setting Proliferation

Entirely depends on how much support each setting gets. Releasing one book per setting isn't an issue, so long as material in other supplements is flexible enough to fit in multiple (but perhaps not all) existing settings.

    My first Wish

Rat bastard in me has to ask - how did they word the wish? 'Cause if they specifically used words like "wish we..." or "wish us..." rather than using the character names, maybe the baddies from the fight went back too. As for the back in time part, maybe they can see there old selves getting...

Time between level-ups: always the same or increasing?

I prefer a steady pace. That said, I find myself continually drawn to classless/levelless systems where small amounts of experience are awarded and potentially spent after each session. Still steady, but almost to the point of constant.
