I think I would grant a save at a penalty. Perhaps -4. That way the tactic is effective but not perfectly.
Sense motive and spellcraft are both viable options, but I think for story purposes, the "beneficiary" would sense something wrong when the magic began to take its effect. "What are you...
No, but ok
Voted no, but I'm not against it. The races in the PHB make little difference to me as a DM or player. If you want a "core" game, tieflings would make an interesting character choice. If you want to customize your game with racial selection, then it does not matter.
(ignoring your incorrect arithmatic) You would have to do the same thing to saves to make it fair. Generally speaking, multiclassed characters get hurt on their BAB but can rack up some fantastic saves.
I do agree, though.
The primary effect a PC-only client will have is force people to find a cross-platform way of running it (parallels, WINE) or crack/reimplement their DRM sooner and create a cross-platform client.
The thing that is bothersome is that making a cross-platform client is not really much harder than...
Hiro determined that it would be futile without first saving Claire. He was working on the timelines to try to determine precisely what needed to occur rather than taking brash action and getting himself killed.
Remember that the last time he tried to change the past with the Waitress it...
Here's my take on the timelines:
Timeline A:
Hiro spacetime jumps to New York, Syler kills Claire, Peter blows up New York (survives with regen powers from Syler), Nathan becomes president, Syler kills and impersonates him.
Timeline B:
Hiro spacetime jumps to New York, post-timeline-A Hiro...
When I did something similar, I found it useful to look at all the classes and strip them down to a bare minimum. For instance, all classes have a d4 or greater for Hit Dice, so that's your base there. 2 skill points. Use the Fighter's skill selection as an idea of where to start as they have...
I touch type at abouyt 60 corrected words a minute (words that had errors but were backspaced over and fixed). I touch type at about 45 accurate words/minute.
My 10-key skills are phenomenal. I can do numeric data entry like a madman.
I am also pretty good with special characters, but some of...
Yes, but Faces of Evil had no pictures or rules to get in the way. That makes a HUGE difference.
It seems about 20% of all 3e books are pictures. Add to that rules and you are cutting out alot of content.
I agree. But I also don't think that an Azure Legion-trained former soldier Prestige Class needs to be created (unless there are very specific reasons why this may be).
1. Multiclassing
My solutions for multiclassing are too drastic, but I think prestige classes can fairly easily be fixed by significantly limiting them per campaign or by background.
2. Free Metamagic
I think casters should be able to use spell slots to power metamagics. For example, a...
No kids, but my shortlist includes:
Richard
Erik
Lorelai
Tatyana
Elizabeth
Annabelle
Luther
I strongly believe in not using names where there could be any confusion over gender. I also think biblicals are waaay overused in America and so I won't use those either.
Richard is my name. I also...
If FCI-III were all sitting on the shelf and I could only afford one, FCIII would be my choice. Lumping them in with other fiends would be an atrocity.
As long as they don't move the internet broadcasts back an hour, I couldn't care less.
The idea of forcing consumers to schedule their entertainment is an artifact of more primitive technologies that would not accomodate both business and consumer needs. With updated technology, there is no...
I could hve sworn that there was a rule that granted a +4 AC bonus for running against missile attacks. Maybe I'm losing it cause I can't seem to find it...
Others have suggested the Aasimar (Solar, Planetars, etc.). Archons actually are a much better fit for western , medieval angels, especially the Celestial Hebdomad from the Book of Exalted Deeds. The Aasimar are better for modern new-age angels.
