What do people play more of nowadays?

From when we started playing AD&D in 1979 to moving to 2e in 1989 to 3e in 2000 to 3.5 in 2003 to 4e in 2008. However not everyone enjoyed 4e - surprisenly we actually went back to AD&D (not 3.5) in 2009 and haven't looked back. Though I personally enjoy and will play any edition of D&D, I...

D&D 4E Essentials isn't 4.5e, but is 4e as we know it over?

“We’ve charted a new direction in class design with the Essentials products. It’s a direction we intend to use from here on out.” If this is the case I do not see the problem. 4e is designed with this in mind – to be completely compatible with older material as well as diverse enough for...

    Gaming Group Turns 28!

That’s fantastic. I’ve also been fortunate enough to have been playing with the same group since 1979. Though I don’t know the number of games and modules played, that’s pretty cool.

Ok what are all these adventures!?

Either DM or played them all except for the Mater and Immortal series modules. ST1 "Up the Garden Path" was the only module that I didn't know it existed until a couple years ago.

    AD&D level limits question

We followed the level limits in AD&D and B/X from 79-89. Though we enjoy all editions of D&D, 2e has been our game of choice since 89 and we still follow the level limits with the exceeding level limit optional rules set out in the DMG.
