It just seems weird they give the Monk a weapon (unarmed strike) that none of their powers utilize. You can only use it in round about ways or certain situations.

Yeah, but the stonefist monk has less controller-ness, so they deal more damage instead. I see it as a trade off. Plus, that is why they created Melee Training to begin with, to "fix" things like this (at the cost of a feat).

So just to clarify, the Unarmed Strike (+3 to hit, 1d8 damage) can apply when you make an At-Will Implement attack? So if it is something like Dex vs Reflex, you'd add Dex +3 (unarmed strike) + d20 roll. And the damage would be 1d8 (if it has [W]) or whatever the default damage of the power is?

I don't have my book on me, but I am a little confused on Monk Unarmed Strike. IIRC, it deals 1d8 damage and allows you to make melee attacks (not sure if that was the term per the wording, so bare with me) while unarmed. However, all of the Monk powers are Implement. So, do you (or CAN you)...

I see what you are saying, but the talent gives you full use of the flurry of blows, so there is a difference. Couldn't it be argued that you get both, one with the restriction and one w/o? In which case, you'd use the FoB w/o the restriction. This seems akin to the Cleric multiclass feat...

But then, that wouldn't be everything, like the Expanded Tradition feat says. Gaining everything (or every benefit) of the tradition would include being able to make a Flurry of Blows on any attack (not just Monk ones).

If you go Hybrid Rogue/Warlock then paragon multiclass into Assassin, then you can't get a paragon path. Paragon multiclassing overrides that... Unless you can pull this trick off with the simple multiclass feat for the assassin (or warlock, as it were)???
