Well, here's a first cut at stats (PHB-only @ level 1, some powers and feats from Divine Power and PH2 at level 2, and one 1st-level at-will power retrained to something out of Divine Power at level 2). Idea would be a second son of a minor noble type; consigned to the church by family tradition...

Hmm... if I retrain one of my at-wills to one from Divine Power at level 2, I should be pretty much okay; my level 1 encounter attack power won't be great, but I won't be a defender who can't make a melee basic attack with his primary stat. Also, starting equipment? By the book a 2nd level...

Hmm. First thought was a charisma-paladin, but that seems to rely a lot on Divine Power to do right. I wasn't entirely clear on whether you were allowing just races from PH2, or classes as well.

What would you be looking for in a new PC? Or would you rather someone take over an abandoned PC? It seems like you've got WD's ranger and Shay's wizard for active PCs, right?
