    D&D Reference Sheets.

I like them fine. I will probably get around to editing them to hold only the information that I really need on a regular basis, but as they are, they work just fine.

What's in the 30 years of D&D book?

Laurel Hamilton is the author of the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series. Excellent series of books, though the last few have been rather heavy on the sex. She has also written a straight up fantasy novel, NIGHTSEER, which was excellent. I'd like to see more about that world. I'd suspected...

John Cooper reviews MMIII, and finds loads of mistakes

My biggest problems with errors in stat blocks... is that there are HOW MANY spread sheets otu there where you can slap in a stat and have it all auto add? Even if you have to manually correct for feats, etc, there are still many ways out there to catch those kinds of errors...

    Seeking "Monster Cards"

I've got two or three of the sets somewhere in my mom's basement. I picked 'em up 5-6 years ago in a box of gaming stuff I got from a friend for $50...

What changes from 3.0 to 3.5 should *not* have been made?

Ahh, but the paradigm shift came in with 3.0, NOT 3.5. In previous editions, the spell was capable of affecting multiple allies, not just one target. This was more true to the past than their original version.

What changes from 3.0 to 3.5 should *not* have been made?

It's gone over quite well in the game I run, not quite so well in the game I played in. The game I run, the wizard took the spell so he could cast it on others. He didn't want to run out of his spells, so the ability to throw an extra spell per round was wasted for him. The 3.5 change...

Volunteer DM's..no incentives? Conventions off our backs?

Well, GenCon will refund your badge price (AFTER the show) if you run 96 player hours of games (6 4 hr games for four players, 4 4 hr games for 6 players, etc). Not a bad way to cover your expenses afterwords. :)

What did you guys think of Dungeon Stamps?

Basically, stamps cut into gaming shapes (Stairs, tables, etc) with an ink pad, that you can stamp onto the battlemap at the appropriate locations, rather than having to hand draw them. I missed them at GenCon, so I'm looking forward to the images at the web site.

    Leather Bound PHB Cover Image

When asked at GenCon, they stated it would include corrections for errata. When asked if there would be more, they gave an ambigous answer that most there interpreted as "yes"...at least from what I heard people talking about.

What did you guys think of Dungeon Stamps?

That is odd. When I emailed them a question, I got a response within 24 hrs (My question was: are you going to have images of the stamps up soon? answer: yes, in the next week; this was from earlier this week)

Coolest game/product you discovered at Gen Con?

I don't recall the price they had for them, but you can typically get them at a craft/hobby store for about 2-3 dollars. Joanne fabrics is having a sale on that kind of stuff this week, too, 40-50% off depending on make. The same booth had these cool magnetic stackable disks that you could use...

    Fighter question

You could always borrow a leaf from the FR Players guide's treatment of the Knowledge (Local:Region) skill: 5 ranks in a profession gives you a syngergy bonus to a host of skills related to the profession. For example, profession (sailor) gives a +2 synergy bonus to balance, rope use, climb...

Two quick questions: 1st re: prc, 2nd re: cannon

The players guide is poorly named... but I suppose the Bean Counters wouldn't publish a Dungeon Masters Guide to Faerun . Evereskan Tomb guardian is basically a spellcasting type warrior, who guards the tombs of Everska. It gains bonuses to a bunch of skills while in the Evereska area, and...

Epic Mystic Theurge: Why is it so weak?

It all ties into my feelings that prestige classes are something that should enhance you, and may become a title you have (Archmage, for example) but one should be more than just the prestige class. For that reason, I tend to like prestige classes that don't progress endlessly.

Epic Mystic Theurge: Why is it so weak?

I don't understand why prestige classes are even statted out for epic levels in the first place.
