    Dragonblood Subtype

I'm running the Red Hand of Doom module and an encounter with a Greenspawn Razorfiend is coming up next session. It has the subtype "Dragonblood." I'm not familiar with this subtype and don't own MM4. What does this mean? Is it vulnerable to everything a magical beast is vulnerable to AND to...

    Bonus Stacking

Sure, it stacks, just like a Paladin could use a similar combination. Hexblades and paladins are already feat-poor (for a martial warrior) and have more MAD than a typical martial warrior (due to the need to pump CHA). Force of Personality allows them to reduce MAD but at the expense of a...

Does anybody else give out XP bonuses for "extras"?

I give Action Points as "on the spot" rewards for helpful OOC behavior.

    Travel Domain granted power

"For a total time per day of 1 round per cleric level you possess, you can act normally regardless of magical effects that impede movement as if you were affected by the spell freedom of movement. This effect occurs automatically as soon as it applies, lasts until it runs out or is no longer...

    Exotic weapon proficiency

Doh, you're right... Replace Kukri with Kama with my apologies. :)

    VoP with Ancestral Relic

One of my players wants to combine Vow of Poverty with an Ancestral Relic, as he's sacrificing all that treasure anyways. This is why I think it should not work: - Vow of Poverty forbids owning anything of value. An Ancestral Relic must be of at least Masterwork Quality. The cheapest...

    Exotic weapon proficiency

Each weapon requires its own EWP feat. So, you need EWP (Kukri) and EWP (Elvish Thinblade), even though both are weapon-finesseable bladed weapons.

monkey grip... is it worth it?

One other time when it could be useful -- dealing with random loot. If your DM threw in a large holy avenger, I'd consider taking the feat so as to be able to use it more effectively rather than selling it.

monkey grip... is it worth it?

You could use the -2 from Monkeygrip to fuel an additional +4 damage from PA, however. Of course, this is capped by your BAB, but that is rarely an issue for level appropriate foes. They tend to have ACs decent enough that taking penalties larger than your BAB is unwise.

    Ways to cast in armor

Doesn't Mage Armor (+4 to AC) provide the same benefit as a Chain Shirt and last all day? And Greater Mage Armor provides a +6 bonus...

    What's a good combination of Paladin/Rogue/Sorcerer?

This screams Duskblade to me. High SP via an INT based caster negates the need for a rogue level and resolves MAD.

    Teleportation-like spells?

The Transposition line of spells from PHBII is possibly what you're looking for.

    XP for Traps?

Just like a lone CR 2 skeleton is boring (the cleric zaps it), a lone CR 2 trap is boring (the rogue disarms it or the fighter eats the damage). However, a trap combined with a monster is much more challenging and merits an increase in CR.

Ready vs spellcasting and AOO with a reach weapon

Charging is a full round action. If you can't take Full Round actions you can still charge as a standard or move action. So, you could ready a charge if you were Slowed, but not normally. Which seems quite odd. SRD: "If you are able to take only a standard action or a move action on your...

Building a "Moon" Cleric.. wanna help?

Grab a wand of Cure Light Wounds -- or better yet, have everyone chip in 200 GP towards one -- and forget about healing forever. Even a few scrolls will do it. For "CoDzilla" all you need is Power Attack plus a big two handed weapon (great sword is best). Self-buff with Divine Favor and...

    Intimidate on animal intelligence?

Agreed, animals can be intimidated. Many are poor at intimidating each other due to poor CHA scores, but say, a large dire wolf "alpha" might be quite effective against a medium regular wolf. For example, I actually give Camels a +8 racial bonus to intimidate vs. horses to reflect the fact...

Wands and Mage Hand - Your opinion...

Wands are Spell Trigger items, which means you must know the command word and have the spell on your class spell list, or use the UMD skill. A "wand" that just required a command word would be a misc. magic item (like a Healing Belt or Elixir of Sneaking or something) and thus cost more. You...

    Psionics Balanced?

Psionics are easier to "nova" with. This lets a Psion burn through all of their resources in a shorter period of time. For example: Warlock --> Sorcerer --> Specialist Wizard --> Wizard --> Psion If your campaign has many encounters/day, then folks on the left side of the spectrum will fare...

    Animal Companion feats

Skip armor proficiency. You can put masterwork studded leather or mithral chain barding on an animal with no problems at all, as the ACP is -0. It all depends on what you use your animal for: - Defensive Meatshield: Combat Reflexes, Hold the Line, and Ability Focus (Trip) all work quite...
