The problem, as I see it, is that if a "mere" assasin is going to have a score of nearly 40 in int, how much more the "wizardly" scions are going to have? Beyond that, the stats appear to be reasonable.

I'd also prefer the things you mentioned, but these additions may be useful beyond their immediate purpose. For example, the treasure charts and sample encounters could serve to expand the flavor of the monsters by showing examples of the creature's behavior.

Interesting project, I would like to help with it. On the other hand, it is always easier to make unique individuals from generic ones than the other way around. Also, races of monsters are of much greater utility for a DM than unique creatures, in my opinion.

Check what skills does the yugoloth originally has ranks in (sometimes the skill is listed just because of a sinergy bonus). Those skills, and those skills only, are considered class skills when advancing by HD. They get the same skills per HD as any other outsider (8 + int bonus).
