    Eberron Conversion Questions

rumere, that's probably further afield then I want to take the Artificer. I'd like to remain as close as possible to the 3.5 version, with appropriate adjustments to bring it in line with the other Pathfinder classes. Pawsplay, I like where you're at.

    Eberron Conversion Questions

OK, I was chewing this over at lunch (Mmmm: pepperoni Artificer! :p). The Artificer is pretty much 3 things: 1) A spellcaster, 2) A magic item crafter, and 3) A guy who gets "other stuff" 1) The Artificer as Spellcaster At heart the Artificer is a wizard with the advantage of casting any spell...

    Eberron Conversion Questions

Perhaps it will work better as a prestige class. I think I'm going to take a crack at it from that angle. Actually - I don't think that's going to work either.

    Eberron Conversion Questions

That's not an invalid point. I need time to process that. Pros off the top of my head: Helps set a flavor for Eberron, Offers an interesting blend of armored and "spellcasting", Helps fill in for the absence of a rogue if no one wants to play one. Cons: everything Remalthilis said.

Pathfinder 1E Would You Buy DDI-Pathfinder?

You bet your sweet mule I would.

non switchers: what can wotc do to win you back?

I'd say nothing, but it's not with anger (anymore–I was pretty put out by the Magazine and OGL issues). 4e isn't awful, but I don't really feel the need to put all the effort into it that would be required to be proficient in it. It's not really ill will. I still buy Star Wars stuff from WotC...

    Eberron Conversion Questions

My concern is: as early as 6th level a party with an artificer in it can double the amount of magical treasure they want to purchase. As there is no longer an XP cost, there's no reason the artificer shouldn't make all of their magic items. At 10th level they can triple the party's purchase...

    Eberron Conversion Questions

I like that a lot. I'm a bit worried about making crafting too cheep, and this really addresses that. A new worry: without some mechanic to balance out all the crafting they do (a la Craft Pool), are we nerfing them too much? Perhaps an approach that blends the 2: a certain amount of discount...

    Eberron Conversion Questions

That one doesn't bother me too much. It's really just Stoneskin limited to Warforged, and given the infusion time it's mostly only going to be used in combats where there's a chance to prep. That's more troublesome. For a while I let my players use an Action Point to emulate a feat, and...

    Eberron Conversion Questions

I was working on the Artificer myself the other day (and of course it's at home, so I don't have it in front of me. :(). Basically, I bumped the HD up to d8 and shuffled the order the craft feats came in (Forge Ring is available at 7th level in Pathfinder, and there are other less extreme...

    Eberron Conversion Questions

So, I've been diving into the races over here, trying to get a feel for the default power level by assigning values to the individual abilities: +.25 for a rarely useful or flavor ability, +1 for an ability equivalent to a feat, etc. Note I don't have the Eberron book with me, so I'm just...

    Eberron Conversion Questions

I'm starting up a new Eberron campaign soon using the Pathfinder rules. Several of the conversion issues I'm going to have to deal with are: Race balance - Changeling, Shifters, Kalashtar and Warforged matching up to the new standard Class adaptation - Artificer, potentially prestige classes...

Pathfinder 1E So what did the ENnies do for publishers besides PAizo and WOTC?

Considering the cost of entry is providing six copies for the reviewers, the real question is: "Do the ENnies get 7 people to buy my product?" I can't think of too many people that could honestly answer no to that question. Actually, considering the markup, the real number might be closer to 3.

    iPhone App

Well, I currently use it to look up rules on d20srd.org to or to google for feats or spells not listed there. I'd like to be able to check the Pathfinder rules on it quickly, so basically I'd like an iPhone formatted PRD. I'm easy. :D

    Pathfinder 1E [Pathfinder]Bestiary Preview

I find them useless as well. I don't really need to know a creatures environmental niche at a glance, not it's monster type. Especially when it's just written out right below.

Out of the "possible" list, Queen_D, The_Universe, Queenie and Dire Wolf won't be coming for sure.

    Tempest Feud thoughts?

Based on the read alone, it was OK, but nothing amazing. I think it could probably be made to sing with a little bit of work. It was a little unambitious as far as Star Wars adventures go (not RPG adventures, but things you think of when you think of "Star Wars"). It needs some tweaking to give...
