    iPhone App

So Doug over at templelion.com says that Erik Mona's walking around with the prototype Pathfinder iPhone app. What do you think it might be? Best case scenario (to me): all the rules in an easily indexed and searchable format. Is that possible? I certainly hope so. Alternate guesses? Thoughts?

Favorite conversion you did? Worst conversion you did?

I really enjoyed my 3.5 conversion of AD&D's Pharaoh and Oasis of the White Palm. I was much less pleased with the way Lost Tomb of Martek played out. There's a reason my friend threw it into the river when he tried to run it back in the 80s. :-S

Pathfinder 1E I got Pathfinder today

The fact that I have it and you don't!! Seriously: no idea yet. I've barely scratched the surface. Based of of the beta rules, I'll love everything. Probably the character class changes are the most prominent in my mind, though.

    Gaming Book Shelf Competition

Now that I think about it: I think he has more shelf space, but a lot of it isn't gaming material. So you probably take the prize after all. Only one way to be sure. I'll start inflating the pool and mixing the jello...

Pathfinder 1E [Pathfinder] Planning on switching to Pathfinder?

Fair enough! Thank you for clarifying. I've always wondered about that one. I was hoping this thread would lead to some comments about it. Why the difference between reading and playing it, do you think? I've had great experiences with one of those! I've also played Burning Wheel. :erm:

Pathfinder 1E [Pathfinder] Planning on switching to Pathfinder?

How dare you be so reasonable on the internet?!?! Oh, wait... that's actually a really nice way to think about things. I hope it caches on. I think I want to start a Hugs for Hjorimir program. :D Just to clarify: your belief that the writers don't know the rules enough is not actually...

    your favorite adventure paths/mega-dungeons/campaign modules?

I'm actually looking forward to picking up War of the Burning Sky at some point. The adventure synopsis I read sounded very creative and out of the box. Any of the Paizo APs are good, of course, although I can't vouch for Second Darkness, as I'm playing in it and therefore not reading it. Red...

Pathfinder 1E [Pathfinder] Planning on switching to Pathfinder?

My Shackled City game is almost at the end, so we'll finish it using 3.5. Once the SCAP is finished I'm starting Paizo's Legacy of Fire. I'll run that with the Pathfinder rules. The Second Darkness campaign I'm playing in just started with the Beta rules, and I expect we'll switch over...

    $5 4E PHB @ GenCon!

Good move on their part. It seems like the pre-GenCon buzz has been all about the Pathfinder release, and this helps keep them in people's mind. Not to mention they might snag some new players who have passed up 4e to this point, which is obviously the important thing in the long-run.

Can you put the game descriptions after the title so people don't have to hunt through the thread to find out what the games are about? :) Also, Kevin needs to put this all in his first post so it's easy to find.

    PC or Mac?

Interesting: at this time nearly 24% either use a Mac, or use both and prefer the Mac. That's the sort of market share that DDI should pay attention to when deciding what to support.* *assuming that ration holds up.

    Gaming Book Shelf Competition

I have no doubt that Gospog wins this competition, although Piratecat would be a close contender if his stuff was all in the same place. I have no photo's of either's set up, however. My own collection is spread out between 2 locations, and not nearly as impressive in total.

I would also like in on Silvermoon's Batman game, and I'll be running Operation: NO SECRETS in the other.

    a single player

If I were to do it, I'd have the player play just 2 characters, perhaps a main character and a henchman. That way they cover some of the bases that need covering, but they get to focus on the characters enough so the game might be a bit more than a skirmish game (unless that's specifically what...
