Also note that Fire Seed requires you to hit; Cloud of Daggers does not. I thought Druid seemed strong at first glance, but I think its actually pretty good having looked over it a few times.

I definitely agree. It's a great way to almost (but not quite) give full access to one of the Ranger's defining features via multiclassing. Cool! :)

So does the Borderlands Marshal's quarrying abilities give him a quarry for the entire encounter, per the Ranger's class ability, or just for two rounds, per the Ranger multiclass ability?

Of the top of my head, you could drop items that buff Wildshaping ability (like weapons/armor that Wildshape with you, or give you more uses per day, or better forms or ...) Alternatively, you could give some summoning buffing items, assuming the other characters wouldn't want to make use of...

So how do powers like this work? Is it: Fail first save. Make second save; now completely fine? Fail first save. Make second save; still suffer from first affect? If you get hit with the same affect again, you don't have to make two saving throws do you? :-S
