My DM generally asks me for the appropriate defense score and then informs me whether I was hit or missed. He does roll in the open though, so if I see a particularly high number sitting on his d20, I know Shield probably won't save my bacon. Just throwing that out there. :)

Not really a bad answer Aghlock. How would you define a Fear effect though? I don't think there is actually a Feared condition is there? Would it basicly come down to fluff text, with something like "target is dazed with Fear"? Or am I mistaken and there is a Fear condition?

Yes, exactly. Immune: Poison, or Immune: Fire, are easy to figure out. THe monster simply doesn't take any Fire or Poison damage. But, as far as I know, there is no such thing as Fear or Charm damage so, what precisely does Immune Charm or Immune Fear give you? Is any attack with Charm or Fear...

Completely anecdotal, but in my experience far more venom dripped from the fangs of those sticking with 3.5/PF. I know many disagree with me, and offer this up only as an answer to your question. Please don't take it as offense, just an observation I've made. :)
