I think it depends entirely on the group. I have been in groups where no matter how creative the PCs/players tried to be to avoid combat the DM was dead set on there beign combat anyway. Conversely, I have been in groups where the players almost always seem to initiate combat even when the DM...

I would agree. I think people are giving way too much population density to the monsters in the PoL ideas. The monsters are not lurking in the darkness just waiting for someone to step out of town and be gobbled up. The monsters are out there living their lives, competing for resources...

In rereading the spell back in the OP I think I would rule that the hand can be sent beyond the original range of 5 squares. The range refers to how far away it can initially be cast, but the text does not set a limit of how far away the hand can go. So, I would think ti would be limited only...

I decided to give it a try. I took a monster combo from a Goodman games module I am fond of (DCC #28 Into the Wilds) Its a goblin rider and large bat mount. Give them a look and let me know where it can be improved. And the formatting is from an app a buddy of mine and I have been working on.
