Place the dragon's lair underneath The Tomb of Horrors. Any PCs that survive the tomb and get to the lair will be softened up a bit for the dragon.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will look into GIMP. And no, Mycanid, nothing that drastic! If I can't get GIMP to work, I'll just do it manually and scan it in. But it's more fun to try new software than to hook up an old scanner. :p

The Against the Giant maps are part of the Map-A-Week. The monthly headings are not labelled accurately. The third one (G3) is labelled "Against the Giants, Part 1" while the first one (G1) is labelled "Against the Giants, Part 2" and G2 is part of the "Fiendish Codex I and Against the Giants"...

If I knew in advance that the DM was going have such a pre-written ending, sure. Or that the DM expected such character sacrifices (not just at the end), sure. Or if that was our regular playing style, sure. If it's just a "regular" game and the DM throws a pre-scripted ending at me. No. Or...

That's a great idea. I would even change each deck a bit--possibly remove two different cards (one good, one bad) from each deck. Each culture might have similar, but slightly different, artifacts. Now, to print them all out and make the five decks as props! :)

Chaosium used to have "quick start" rules on their website. A free, stripped-down version of the BRP rules. Hey, they still do! :) At the bottom of the page, there's a spot to download the quickstart rules. Hope this helps.
