Gamma World, past and Future (Hold the CCG)

I didn't know there was a pdf. Just bought it to go with my 2 print copies. I would really love to see Omega World reprinted as an OGL game.

    Gamma World unboxing

Thanks for the link. I'm excited about the new GW again. Maybe a good way to share the cost if we decide to do boosters is to have each player bring a booster to each game. Then, everyone can add to the collective instead of the DM shouldering all the costs. It's a cheap night's...

Gamma World Box Set Sneak Peak on I09.com

As I posted it, I knew someone would find a $1 bill counterfeiter; but I figured it would be foreign bills. Still 1938-1948 is not currently counterfeiting $1 bills, and my original point is that someone really won't fake something of value that costs more to fake than the genuine article...

Gamma World, past and Future (Hold the CCG)

I had GW 1e back in the day, but I don't recall if I played it (probably not). I wish I still had it. My preferred edition is Omega World, a mini-d20 game from the polyhedron side of Dungeon Magazine #94 that brilliantly, concisely captures the GW game in a d20 rules set. I also really like...

Hear, hear! Nobody counterfeits $1 bills.

    Goodbye

As I said in the other thread, take care of yourself and don't do anything drastic like harming yourself. Talk to someone and come back when you are ready. Take care.

    So I have this friend...

Rob, you need to take care of yourself first, then your marriage, then your job and then your gaming. You are a man before you are a husband before you are a worker before you are a gamer. This thread, another post, and information on your profile sound like a cry for help. Get it. Don't do...

Favorite Post Apocalyptic d20 game or setting

Omega World d20 from the Polyhedron side of Dungeon Magazine is my favorite post-apoc d20 game. It is one of my favorite games of all time. I really liked the way it succinctly presented the Gamma World game in the d20 rules. Brilliant.

Gamma World Box Set Sneak Peak on I09.com

Seeing it dulls my enthuiasm a bit, but I will probably still pick it up. It sounded very exciting to me when it was first announced, but I am not sure it will deliver what I am looking for.

    The 1e Tournement

That's my sound bite for tonight's game! Thanks.

    Suggestions for non-fantasy rpgs

Savage Worlds is the best recommendation I can make. It is really easy to bring to the table. You can even try it free: http://www.peginc.com/Downloads/SWEX/TD06.pdf Otherwise, if your group is familiar with (& into) d20, then I suggest either Omega World or Judge Dredd. Omega World is on...

It's awesome that someone was doing it.

What are Your Favorite Out of Print RPGs?

Ones I would still play: Omega World d20. This game was a great, concise treatment of Gamma World for 3.0 and really helped me see the promise of the d20 system as a felxible system to run games in other genres. I would run it again in a snap. I have to give an honorable mention to Alternity...

D&D 3.x gamers who skipped 4e, why are you not "upgrading" to Pathfinder?

I never upgraded my 3.0 game to 3.5. I ran a different game in 3.5. I see no reason to "upgrade" now to either 4e or Pathfinder (PF). Since this thread is about PF specifically, I'll comment on that. Simply put, I don't need a new version of d20--especially at the same complexity level. I...

    non-4e D&D Players . . .

It's not bitterness, just overload. I've enjoyed the game since 1980 in many different editions. But, 4e is just too much new & different information. I tried it. It just didn't do it for me (or most of my group). I don't think the new Essentials will be a throw-back or more accessible for...

    non-4e D&D Players . . .

No. We tried 4e. It wasn't for me. When it was first announced, I figured it would be be my ticket off the roller coaster. Essentials won't get me back on that ride. But, I'm still in the amusement park--I will pick up the new Gamma World. For now, I'll continue running DDM as an RPG...

Hobby games and the lack of time.

I like the hangover description. The last time I ran D&D 3e (a few years ago), I had to be sure to: go to bed early the night before (all the prep time had to be days ahead; preferably over the weekend), eat a good meal beforehand, and drink water every 15 minutes (on a timer). It was even...

Customizable 4-panel Vinyl Clear-Pocketed Landscape GM Screen

No. I have the customizable GM screen from Pinnacle that is 3 panels in landscape which does the job I want a landscape screen to do. If I were to get another, I would want portrait orientation because most of the books I would copy pages for the inserts will be in portrait format. A four...
