Pathfinder Gnomes are a force of nature. They are wild, chaotic and utterly alien in outlook. There skin, hair and eyes can be any color found in nature and does not seem to be limited by parent's color. So I thought the new gnome fit. There is something chaotic and a bit off about it.Perfect.

heh better then purple/pink of 3.5 That said skin tone will vary from half orc to half orc, more then likely it's human side was dark skinned. But nothing will compare to the wildness of the gnomes endless colors

The thing is you seem to be wanting a fix for 3pp books. And I am other fail to see how anyone can fix something they did not make. Paizo or anyone can work with the SRD or OGL rules. They can address issue in that rules set. What they can not do is fix any issue caused by a rule/class/spell...

If your not looking over books(any books) and it is unbalancing your game( as you seem to be saying it is) then you can only blame yourself. As for me I have allowed 3.0 and 3.5 stuff with my pathfinder games. It's not hard really. I do ban stuff but it's the stuff I banned in 3.5 so no change...

How much work do they cause you now? You may allow anything you like, that's up to you. PRC's and feat Requirements may need reworked but thats not hard and it's only for skill requirements. If something says you need 8 ranks in a skill that means 5. If it says 15 that is 12 and so on. backward...

I always use max HD+ con mod. I used the racial option once, and found it too much for my taste. If I want 3rd level pc's I will make them 3rd level YMMV

Well that's not really the Realms he asked for, but pretty much points out ya'll have to kill the setting or the low magic rules to make it work. I myself would rework the rules not the setting
