    Our Physical Fitness

The thread on our comfort being naked in public got a lot of people suggesting they are in poor physical shape. There was an old thread where many folks talked about their exercise regimens. Rather than necromance that thread, I figured we should have a new one. Do you have any...

One Early RoboCop Reaction Calls The Remake Better Than The Original

I've seen several references to the orginal movie's ultra violence, but really, I don't remember it being any more violent than any other action movie. Plenty of violence, sure. But a notable increase? No. Bullgrit

    iOS 7

I just watched the iOS 7 video, and it makes me feel like a grumpy old man. The first half of the 7 minute video explains all the aesthetic updates -- all stuff I don't care one little bit about changing. The second half of the video explains how they've updated all the parts of the software...

    Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Watched it last night with my whole family -- me, wife, two boys age 12 and 8. Found it decently good, not fantastic, not bad. I'll watch again. But it's just a first episode, just learning to walk. One thing my boys commented on, and I agree, it was hard to tell the women apart from each other...

Leave your smartphone at the door, get 10% off your meal

You're asking why people in this thread feel something no one here has said they feel anything about. No one has said they are bothered by when people at other tables talk on their phone. So how can they give you a why? Bullgrit

Leave your smartphone at the door, get 10% off your meal

Sounds like a decent idea. *I* wouldn't leave my phone with a stranger for any discount. Bullgrit

Why does everyone rag on Hawkeye?

It has become sort of an Internet meme to poke fun at Hawkeye in the Avengers movie. People call him useless and weak, and just generally not on the same level as the other heroes on the team. Now, sure, he isn't super strong, doesn't fly, etc. but damn he scored some nice goals in the movie...

How about setting the drop-down prefix list in alphabetical order? Bullgrit

NASA sees Han Solo on planet Mercury

I think this is a smart announcement. Every time NASA posts a pic from some planet, people find "evidence" of life in the rock formations. A humanoid face, a walking bigfoot, a dead rat, etc. By releasing pics with rock formations that look like silly things, they weaken the conspiracy theories...

NASA sees Han Solo on planet Mercury

"A photo of the surface of the planet Mercury has set astronomers giggling with what appears to be Star Wars' hero Han Solo -- frozen in carbonite." The photo really does look like it. http://www.foxnews.com/science/2013/09/23/nasa-sees-han-solo-on-planet-mercury/ Edit: originally mistyped...

Where to find a nerdy girl?

Get their boyfriend's permission to ask: "I'd like to find a girl who's either into nerdy hobbies like me, or who is at least open to supporting me in my nerdy hobbies, like you seem to be for your boyfriend. Do you have a sister or friend like you?" Again: Make sure you openly have the...

Are you comfortable being seen naked?

No, not a bad guy for wanting to keep your wife's nudity a private thing for you. I'd say that's perfectly normal. Bullgrit

Are you comfortable being seen naked?

I wish there was something between board shorts and speedo. I hate wearing shorts that go to my knees, especially swim shorts that get heavy and annoying when wet. I'd love swim shorts that went down to only mid thigh. But I haven't found any such thing so far. Bullgrit

Are you comfortable being seen naked?

I wear board shorts, not speedos. I think for most [American] men, underclothes are closer to being naked than swimwear. Heck, put on a t-shirt and most men could walk down the mall without looking undressed. Women, on the other hand, yeah, underclothes and swimwear are often quite similar, but...

    Who invented the T-Shirt?

Shirt sizes vary a great deal between brands. Now, some brand differences are because of the culture of the customer -- some styles are intentionally designed to be long and baggy, where others are intentionally designed to be short and tight. A medium in one won't have the same dimensions as a...

    Who invented the T-Shirt?

Well, not really. They were "aimed at men with no wives and no sewing skills." I wear a t-shirt every day, (though not necessarily a t-shirt of my own design), even though I have a wife and I have darning skills. In fact, when a button needs to be sewn back onto some piece of clothing, my wife...

The law is no laughing matter

I had never read Gawker until you started posting links to it around here. Now I've read a few articles, and I have to say, the article titles and the first paragraphs are very misleading/misrepresenting from the actual facts of the story. Is that really what Gawker is? Bullgrit

    So, that GTA V, huh?

I've never played any GTA, (although I'm getting interested because of all this hype and talk). I saw this gif today, what which GTA I have no idea, but it has made me laugh every one of the two dozen times I've watched it. http://9gag.com/gag/apqQNPW Bullgrit
