    D&D 5E (2014) Desired Spell Changes

Feather Fall and maybe Levitate should have at Higher Level for additional targets. Silent Image etc. should all be combined into one spell with additional senses, animation and duration At Higher Level.

    D&D 5E (2014) Are quadratic spellcasters still a problem?

I think, that is in fact the major problem with utility magic: There should be non-magic ways to stop it. Shapeshifting cannot happen, when bound in iron. Clairvoyance does not cross a line of salt. Flight spells do not work over water.

D&D 5E (2014) How to handle attack bonuses in multiclassing

That's a good call, but the way the classes are made, they don't lend themselves to this approach. There is no universal concept of option and power in class design. So in order to comply with this approach, we cannot just add class levels to one another. I'm really interested how WotC will do it.

D&D 5E (2014) How to handle attack bonuses in multiclassing

Level by Level Multiclassing, if it is meant to work, will require several precautions. A similar problem to the one you describe here, is combining spell-casting ability. Should spell slots from diffferent classes be combined into one pool?

D&D 5E (2014) How to handle attack bonuses in multiclassing

I can imagine at least one other possibility: - Stack, but secondary classes have there bonus reduced by 1.

    D&D 5E (2014) Dwellers on Shadow

You're not helping your cause. You have an opionion, Jester's got another. You point of view does not become better by repeating it, nor by slicing Jester's post into miniscule pieces. (I wonder, if that mini quote habit when enraged really is a Ersatzhandlung to ripping something apart.)

    D&D 5E (2014) L&L: Subclasses

While I understand your line of thought, it doesn't fit the way I use D&D. You start with a concept, looking how to mold your character into it. I, on the other hand, look through the catalogue, pick things I like, then think: What is this guy about. So for me more fluffy options are better...

    D&D 5E (2014) L&L: Subclasses

There are two points. Naming and meaning. If Knight is a fighter thing, call the Background Gentry. If fighter things are ab out "how did you lesen to fight?", there can still be feats about weapons. Those problems can be solved.

    D&D 5E (2014) L&L: Mike Lays It All Out

If that was so, why the hassle about Dead Levels? Doesn't a Dead Level get you half way to your next class feature? Strangely, mearls explained that +1s/feats were used as another way to avoid Dead Levels.

D&D 5E (2014) Wandering Monsters: Heirs of Gith

    Alignments are crap. Problem solved.

They could certainly rearrange some of the "other" benefits to the odd values: Extra languages, extra HP, carrying capacity, bonus AC, attunement slots and something for Wisdom.

    D&D 5E (2014) L&L: Mike Lays It All Out

I'm wondering what proficiency means. With weapon proficiency I can still use a weapon unskilled, I just take Disad. Will that be the case with other proficiencies as well? - I guess so.

D&D 5E (2014) Wandering Monsters: Morons and Salads

I'll have a look on Pathfinder slaads. Thanks. I guess modrons could be hired as exclusive and reliable workforce.

D&D 5E (2014) Wandering Monsters: Morons and Salads

I'm still not sure what either kind is good for. What kind of adventures would I use them in? What's their role? I get Inevitables. They will be encountered as they go after people and for good reason. Where are modrons encountered? I understand the alien infestation angle they were talking...

    D&D 5E (2014) Wildshape Good! Polymorph Bad!

Relearning the spell for every new form isn't bad. It also solves the problem of overpowered forms, as new forms effectively become treasure. You need Polymorph (Wartroll) to become a Wartroll, and there might not be a wizard in the world who has made such a formula.

Legends and Lore: Uber Feats eat Prestige classes and Paragon Paths or give +1 to ability

Of course, caster don't really need their ability scores to get things done.

    D&D 5E (2014) Let's discuss the Apprentice Tier.

Any name is better than no name. Without a designation it's impossible to tie levels to the game world. What level does a henchperson have? What's the level of a bishop? Etc.

    D&D 5E (2014) Making certain Feats/Specialties more engaging

The feats in the current playtest are varied collection. Some of them offer complex rules, other are rather simple. Some are a remake of former feats, some are all new. I'd like to point out some mechanisms in the current feats I enjoy and will try to expand similar mechanisms to other feats. A...

D&D 5E (2014) Removing feats as a universal class mechanic

There is a profound difference between class features and spells. The majority of classes have spells, while other class features are reserved for one or two classes.

D&D 5E (2014) Removing feats as a universal class mechanic

I agree that Combat Maneuvers were a good idea. With the current framework, I'd do something like this. It's mostly a matter of presentation: Combat Maneuvers Combat Maneuvers add certain special stunts to your attacks. You can only use a single combat maneuver per turn (and you can only use it...
