    1000 Pointless and Neverending Arguements

    34) How many of them are my fault :D

    Good Drow

Now see, you are judging my argument as simplistic and clingy. You tell me not to judge others, then you judge my idea as inferior? How do you reconcile that? That's not even the point. The question I posed, which was only infrequently answered was "why does everyone want to play good Drow"...

Sheeeeshh.... (Takes "sarchasm" bullets out of magazine, puts them in box. Takes "dripping sarchasm" bullets out of magazine, puts them in box. Takes "circular logic" bullets out of magazine, puts them in box. Takes "that's not the point bullet", nah, I'll keep those. Takes "exaggerate for...

    Acronyms

Wow! That does actually help quite a lot. Thanx. I only bought the, ahem... PH DMG and MM since I am happy tooling around with my little dark ages-norse-like-homebrewed world. Don't have any of the supplements. (3d Ed that is).

Um, sorry? This was offensive? All I said was OK, so they're CE, but they are still evil, which makes self-preservation a high-priority which makes teaming up with lesser thans viable as long as it suits the Drow's purpose. I just did not think I had to type all that up again. BTW, stay away...

err, no, not big into Star Trek. Then again if the society accepted the assassination as part of the system...? OK, we're getting on to another thread that I am sure has been done here before...

    DMs opinion wanted

Well, without reading all the threads I would say, if this is a regular problem with the player, let him die. Then tell him, flat out, that if he is gonna waste time throwing down with every crooked guard, how is he gonna get to the meat of the adventure you took time to make up? If it's a rare...

I'm just being silly. I'll just have to grab a D20 product catalogue from someone....:D

    DMs are special people?

I usually DM, but I happen to game with some good DMs so in that I am rather fortunate. But one of the down-sides of RPGs is that a group is only as good as it's weakest link so to speak. It only takes one guy (or gal) to blow it for everyone. I'm sure we've all been there!

    Acronyms

Y'know, I have been in the Army for 11 years, and am usually pretty good with acronyms, but... ...is there a master D20 acronym list? Y'all are killing me.

The latest "IN" thing with 3E......

Ah, maybe I should invent "Redworld"? Nah, sounds like an obscure 1950s Sci-fi novel...(maybe it is?)

    Good Drow

See, here you all go again misquoting me. All I asked was why everyone wanted to play good Drow. I never said ANYTHING about home-brewed settings either. I use one that is heavily Norse-Mythos influenced and therefore adjusted as such. I just pointed out that the published stuff followed...

Come to think of it though, using Slavatore here again, that strict of a hierarchy strikes me as decidedly "lawful" though, dontch think? I am not saying the should not be CE (my whole point was good v evil, not catagories of evil). Yes, I am fond of the paranthetical statement. Yes my...

OK, fine. They are CE. Whatever. Self-preservation is still a staple of being evil right? My ideas are still valid.

    Good Drow

Actually come to think of it, if you are referring to Salavtorian (that's not a word is it?) Drow society, a Drow on the outs with his / her own house may have to turn to outsiders as the only "pawns" they can truat. Or maybe their house got wiped out and they are out for revenge (the only...

    Good Drow

So, don't play a Drow. Or any evil Elf for that matter. Well, yeah, that is what I meant by significant "role-playing challenge." But I am not sure I agree with that. Drow are LE right? A Drow would only behave that way when in a position of power over the other members of the party (assuming...

    Miniature for a kid character

Well, Wargames Foundry has some excellent Medieval Civilian figures, but they took their images off of their web site, so I cannot show them to you. Also, you would have to buy the whole blister pack at $18 a pop. The miniatures are REALLY good though!

No, he simply missed my point. Go back through this thread and add up all the folks who played the a "good Drow" and then add up all of the folks who played evil Drow. Now according to many points made here, a "good" Drow is more rare / different / or more original than a run of the mill evil...
