WotC Would you buy WotC products produced or enhanced with AI?

Luckily none of us here are mandated by our companies to purchase products from a hypothetical future WotC that are made with AI!

WotC Would you buy WotC products produced or enhanced with AI?

I honestly don't think we know enough about the science of human creativity to support a statement like that.

WotC Would you buy WotC products produced or enhanced with AI?

I am 100% positive all those images can be, and in fact have been, imagined and created by humans before. You've got a variation of Mona Lisa (done a million times before), Wheelers from Return to Oz and a baked good in the form of an animal, which people have been making since baking began. I...

WotC Would you buy WotC products produced or enhanced with AI?

Also the word wizard has both A and I in it, so technically the PHB already has AI in it! We've all been fooled!

WotC Would you buy WotC products produced or enhanced with AI?

Vote with our dollars? Support businesses that pay creators? Create stuff ourselves? I choose not to use social media (other than EN World), and despite its proliferation into every aspect of life I still survive. I choose to not buy things from Amazon and instead spend as locally as possible...

WotC Would you buy WotC products produced or enhanced with AI?

I would have no interest in purchasing that. If it was AI using the work of others, I consider that plagiarism. If it was AI using their own materials, then it feels to me like they are selling reheated leftovers instead of something new.

D&D General Transgender Drow are Canon in Forgotten Realms! Woo!

That's a great answer from Ed Greenwood. I love the idea of the transformation of self-shape being something that's ingrained in Drow culture. Ed's take just feels very "Drow."

Neverending "Yes ... And" Feedback Loops in Mysteries

Maybe you need to put things more in the way of the characters' progress, rather than having options available? Would they have been more interested in the fey if they needed the help of a skilled smithy who was now charmed and tortured by a fey? Or if they could cross a bridge over a gorge...

"I think Hydrogen is a rare element" and other science facts.

This reminds me of a 5e game in which we wanted to create lightning rods to help us battle a giant storm elemental. The DM said that technology like lightning rods didn't exist in the game world. I tried to point out that the cantrip "Shocking Grasp" worked better against opponents in armor so...

    Superman | Sneak Peek

Man I am so burned out on superhero movies. And yet that trailer really worked on me! It looks like Gunn is inspired by All Star Superman's maximalist take on Kal-El and I am really enjoying it.

D&D General Doing Tragedy in D&D

The closest I got was in a "flashback" game I ran for a group I was normally a player in. Every once in a while the players would take a turn as DM to run a one-shot adventure which fleshed out the backstory of another character. I was asked to run the backstory adventure of the dwarf cleric...

    On participation trophies

Have you run around kicking a ball for no reason with other people? It's actually a lot of fun. So is throwing a frisbee, going for a jog, playing catch, riding a bike... many people do these activities with others without any competition for fun.

Avengers: Doomsday | Now in Production cast reveal

They'll all be on a Zoom call at the beginning of the movie and then the rest of the story just follows Ant Man trying to set up the perfect birthday party for his daughter and accidentally foiling the plans of Doom over and over again. (At least it would in my perfect movie!)

    On participation trophies

Competition is fun! But I don't think anyone is calling for the end of competition. But it's good to have a mix of opportunities for people and kids who want to participate in organized kinesthetic activities. It's a little surprising to see so much argument for having all games be competitive...

    On participation trophies

Is it really so difficult to think of reasons people would want to just "run around?" Exercise, building skills, building team work, social connections, enjoying the outdoors, fun... These are all reasons why someone would play a game without keeping score. I'm in a beginners-only adult soccer...

Swear an oath to do no harm and illuminate the land in Mappa Mundi

Oh man, this genre hits me just right. This is the kind of game I would love to play.

    Project Sigil .

Okay I'll admit I haven't read the OP, but I wildly disagree with the premise of this thread. The assumptions made by the poster reveal their ideas about the topic are based entirely in slippery slope sealion strawman goalpost moving. The only thing they got right was what they said about the...
