If you don't see this as putting words in someone else's mouth: ...then you should know that I and probably others do see it as putting words in the mouth of people who disagree with you. If that's not your intention, then it might be worth clarifying or rewording.

It's pretty disingenuous to put histrionic words in the mouths of people you disagree with.
