Is Evil Genius Games Doubling Down On NFTs & Blockchain?

That sound more like an argument for ignoring the problem than a suggestion for how to address it. In any case, proof-of-work blockchains use far too much energy to be acceptable, and proof-of-stake blockchains all look as if they can be subverted if someone cheats by modifying the software...

Is Evil Genius Games Doubling Down On NFTs & Blockchain?

Sadly, no. For a long time to come, there will be people who've newly discovered them, see "$$$!" and start hyping them. The leading edge of awareness has moved past them, but the trailing edge has not yet discovered them. So many, in fact, that it starts to seem like the main point.

The occult WWII campaign has two strands at present. I run the China-Burma-India theatre, and Zyg runs the neutral countries. The characters in the latter work for MI6, under cover as a BOAC civilian flying boat crew. They were sent to Lisbon to convey the Duke of Kent back to the UK. He's been...

How many RPG dice do you own?

About 30 in my going-out-to-play roll, a few hundred custom d6s of many designs that I designed and had made in 2015-16, and, ah, assorted others. I got quite into designing dice, to the extent of custom dice for campaigns, until the pound suddenly sank in 2016, and it seemed time to stop.

We took the robot apart using a Wand of Force, X-Ray vision, and persistence. We found what seemed to be the brain, which was all ceramic and destroyed that thoroughly. The next morning, what appeared to be a small spaceship appeared through the nexus point. Its power is out, because advanced...

Are TTRPGs Even a "Good" Hobby?

Mostly not. I'm well aware that the cosmic significance of the games I play and run is limited. I've had some wonderful experiences along the way, but they don't affect anyone except me and the other players. If they keep turning up and are not vociferously complaining, things are going...

This is complicated, even by Avalon standards. 46 years ago, game time, in Avalon's year 1998, the person who embodied Evil at the time was killed. The person† who did that had been sent to steal something from her, but went beyond his instructions. Among other problems*, this unbalanced the...

Where Do You Get Your Digital (RPG) Books and Materials?

SJ Games used to only sell their PDFs on their own store, Warehouse 23, but they found that quite a few potential customers wanted to buy everything from DriveThru, so they started selling there too.

Commentary thread for that “Describe your game in five words” thread.

One of the PCs has an odd relationship with time: she can sometimes see into the future, and she can summon equipment and skills from there. She is followed around, much of the time, by some fascinated Buddhist mystics. They are an Enemy disadvantage, not worth much because they don't want to...
