The Peacemakers - Alternity, Star*Drive (OOC Discusssion)

I think I could be interested in playing. I'm itching to get a feel for how d20 Modern/Future plays before I start my own campaigns with it.

Call of Cthulhu d20 Adventure - Now Playing but still Recruiting!

Yeah, I didn't figure he'd have an arsenal handy :) Since he's retired military I went with something simple and traditional; M1911 .45. He carries it with him (and has the concealed carry permit) because, well he's a bit on the paranoid side (conspiracy theorist and all) and knows there are...

Call of Cthulhu d20 Adventure - Now Playing but still Recruiting!

Okay I modified my character post with some basic equipment, generally what he travels with. A car isn't listed in the CoC book, but if it's okay I'd add that too, not entirely sure how to handle to purchase though (d20 Modern's wealth system makes such purchases so much easier). As for...

Call of Cthulhu d20 Adventure - Now Playing but still Recruiting!

William MacBeth APPEARANCE: By all appearances, William is an average guy, though deceptively older than he looks. In his younger days he had sandy blonde hair, however he now shaves his head daily. He maintains a goatee, claiming that if he shaves it off he looks like a Cabbage Patch Kid...

Call of Cthulhu d20 Adventure - Now Playing but still Recruiting!

Great! I'll get something written up and posted. As for dice rolling, I prefer it if you do all the rolling (makes my life easier), but it isn't so critical that I can't do it.

Call of Cthulhu d20 Adventure - Now Playing but still Recruiting!

Are you still accepting new victims...er...recruits? I'd be interested in playing, but I may not be able to get a character whipped up until the weekend.

    d20 Fantasy

Yeah I've got it, been a Dungeon subscriber for nearly 10 years now. Thanks for reminding me though, most of the time I read through the magazines and then shelf them.

    d20 Fantasy

It appears that Grim Tales has a number of votes and for the record I do own a copy of it. While I like it, I prefer d20 Modern simply because of it's availabilty. As I live in small town Idaho the only gaming I do is play by post and most of my players don't have access to the vast library of...

    d20 Fantasy

So I'm thinking about converting the campaign world I use (Terra Viejo) to the d20 Modern ruleset, as there are some things that I like about it in relation to the campaign world. Particularly the fact that I can have campaigns in the future, present and near past of a campaign world that is...

Do you like your gaming books signed?

I don't really know how to answer this. I'm not particularly interested in getting any of my books signed, though I suppose if the opportunity presented itself, I'd take advantage of it. However, I don't insist that they stay "pure" either, I've signed every one of my books...how else am I...

    Would/Do You Wear A D&D T-shirt In Public?

I wear my "NPC" shirt to work, occasionally when I'm grocery shopping. Of course I live in a small farm town, so I have yet to have it recognized, or even have anyone ask about it. My other two "gaming" shirts I don't wear, one is the much talked about "crap" shirt, though my is the more...

Which On-line SRD do you use?

I used to use the Sovelior/Sage version, but I have since had to change. I got tired of bouncing back and forth between my campaign world sourcebook and the SRD, so I decided to integrate them and now that it's nearly complete (only Magic Items, Planes and Psionics left) I use it exclusively...

Longshot - Looking for Gamers in Burley Idaho

Thanks for the sympathy. If it weren't for being online I'd be going absolutely nuts. Unfotunately Play by Post isn't quite as fulfilling as face-to-face.

Longshot - Looking for Gamers in Burley Idaho

Bump. Now I'm really needing a gaming fix. I'm willing to travel a bit, anyone in the Twin Falls area looking for a player?

GMs: Do you change the colors of your dragons?

I used to play it Metal = Good, Chromatic = Evil. However, I got to thinking that it didn't really make sense that way. If you can have orcs and hobgoblins that go against the norm, why can't a dragon, who realistically is far more intelligent than an orc or hobgoblin go against the grain as...

    The CORE of the Matter

I use pretty much exclusively CORE classes. Right now my only source of gaming is online, so as a GM (I've yet to play) it just makes sense to stick with what is available only in the SRD. Makes it easy for those who don't have books.

That is not a spell book, that's rope!

I've considered using alternative spellbooks, but now I don't think I'll be able to keep a straight face when I introduce one. All I can see is the dumb fighter saying "That isn't a spellbook, that's rope."

    Earth: The Ultimate Campaign Setting

I'm the other DM TerraDave spoke about. It is possible that you could run into a player that is an expert on the area you have chosen, but in my experience I've taken the time to become pretty familiar with the area I'm using. Currently I run a campaign in the Principalities of Rus (Russia)...

Dragonstar...anyone still playing it? Did you play it?

I have all the books and I intend to run a campaign derived from it. Most of the "fluff" I won't be using, but the mechanics mesh well with the campaign world I use (see the .sig) for campaigns in that world's future.
