Well put everyone, I stand corrected.

I'll admit I don't find it a "flaw" but I find my players playing it safe/smart; once biten twice shy and all that. I'm considering granting them a +1 to hit if they use a daily against the "manager" and go for the glory.

You have a "super cool" daily power... There is a "boss/miniboss" hanging around... do you A.) focus said power on said boss, perhaps miss due to high defence, and feal unfullfilled. B.) target other creature, have better chance of hitting, but less glory.

KotS seems to be a good baseline...they're as tough as that, whereever that is on the chart.

Thinks small, the grand world will form around them slowly. What do they see, why is that there, who is talking to them, what does he want. Let what the PC's know guide the flow, be willing to adapt. When the time is right your "reveals" will come. Take a single idea from PCs with backstories...

1.) leave your wizard up top, with his Magic Missle range of 20 he's quite effetcive from there, and can lower down to cast sleep if things look bad. 2.) use your own rope, no need to climb down bloody chain. (attach a counterweight (like a couple of bodies) that the topside wizard can set off...

Has anyone heard anything pseudo-solid about a videogame being based on a 4th edition framework? Job Advertisements, nuggets in corporate documents, slips from staffers...anything? I think we know it must be somewhere in the pipe, if only in talks, and perhaps years away but someone must know...

Thanks for noticing, I took my vacation in a block this year and went a couple of sunny places with my family; I could also say that I took a brief vacation during the "trasisitioning of the boards" but I didn't...place looks great.

I just finished playing through Mass Effect as a female. I felt like it was her story; I was very impressed how her personality/voice/body language fit the story. On the other hand I've tried (and failed) to Table Top females, it just doesn't come across right. Even watching others do it seems...

In the spirit of having a small, a medium, and a large action, and being able to use them to do actions 'smaller' than their category: Would it be feasible/possible/correct/balanced to downgrade a daily power so you can use an encounter power instead?

Agreed. While I would like a sci-fi 4e book (though not as much as a Medieval Urban Adventures book), I really get where you're coming from. I hope they don't guess where our imaginations are taking us and then plan their supplements by committee and compromise.
