What about DnD 50?

So disappointing! Just joking obviously :) I'm curious how it will work, I'm pretty sure we'll speak about 5.5 next summer even if WotC don't want us to use that term.

How it will work without editions? Say, I have books from 2nd, 4th and 5th editions and books from PF1 and Starfinder (1 I guess). If the core rulebooks change, it's a new edition in my book (no pun intended). I cannot use Rise of the Runelords with PF2 without some adjustments, same with Curse...

Will it split the playerbase again?

Is it a third version? Or a remake of PF2?

Does dndbeyond offer content as webpages or only PDFs? Because if it's webpages, I could manage with the text size at display. But PDFs, it will take a 12" e-readers. Edit: I just tried with the Gazeetter and it's a webpage so it should work, I'll try it tonight. Too bad we cannot download it...

Well, with the Dark Alliance debacle with Tuque Games, I can totally understand they didn't care too much about BG3 before seeing it as a commercial and critic success. I didn't know that the Gazetteer was part of Avernus book as I don't have it. For me, it's new and free content so I'm happy :)

You use your Kindle for DnD books? You have better eyesight than me. I got a 10.3" eink Kobo and even then, I have to zoom to read any DnD book. I wish there were epub versions of books.

I'm rooting for a new Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide!

Same, mostly because I can't play at a table so my sole imagination getaway is lore books.

The best one I've read was The Inner Sea World Guide. I was a bit surprised that the FR 5E guide was only a mere 160 pages, there's so much to say about Forgotten Realms. They could do a series of books with all the data Greenwood and others had created.

Yeah, I wonder if they'll do a new one for 5.5E... I guess I should try to find History of the Realms instead. There's a nice Drizzt visual history book that released a few months ago but I guess I'll spoil myself too much with that kind of read.

Thanks Morrus! I also learned that he lives "close" of my hometown, around 6 hours. I should really try to meet him in Gencon (perhaps next year with the 50th), I still have my original Forgotten Realms box. That guy is a creative genius, no doubt there.
