What do you think WotC should be making?

Sign me up. I want this product.

What do you think WotC should be making?

This would be a good support product. Along these lines, I think that a good general goal for them would be to focus on enablement, i.e. products that make it easier and more fun to play. So, more things like the 3D Village terrain map thing they did, for example. Furniture and set pieces for...

What do you think WotC should be making?

Agree with all of this. Though I would only need a few planar adventures.

What do you think WotC should be making?

seconded. As a side note, rather than new monster books (which I likely wouldn't buy), I'd rather see new monsters introduced through adventures.

What do you think WotC should be making?

Yes from my own selfish point of view on the political book. I'd definitely buy it. And yes from a consumer and business point of view on your second point. Can't imagine why they aren't trying to build much more synergy withing and between their product lines.

What do you think WotC should be making?

As far as adventures go, I like the 32 pagers. I want one of two formats when it comes to adventures. 32 pagers that are relatively fast to read. They can be linked or not, but of course should be way fun either way. Red Hand of Doom length that provide a story arc covering 4 or 5 levels...

What's the CR on a PC?

Overcoming the single 10th level PC would be a EL 10 encounter for the other PCs, and result in CR 10 XP (assuming you wanted it to be a legitimate encounter) divided among them. Overcoming 4 10th level PCs would be an EL 14 encounter for for the single PC, who would receive CR 10 XP x 4...

What do you want to see in the fourth Adventure Path?

For resources. Maybe metals, minerals or elements that are rare on the surface, but available in relative abundance right under their feet. They don't have to invade to conquer the entire underdark, just a portion that they see value in. Once they get what they want and begin mining it or...

Which classic adventure would you like to see republished next?

H Series...would be good to have to run a domain and deal with a combination of realm management and personal actions on the battlefield/dungeon Slaver Series - Lots of intrigue and investigation and ruthless skirmish potential here Dwellers of the Forbidden City - Stuck out in the middle of the...

    The easiest & quickest RPGs?

d6 is easy to learn and easy to play. Now I'm getting all nostalgic for it.

After the core, what is the "must have" 3.5 book?

First, given the appraoch you set forth above, I'd say that there are no must have books that fit into that framework. That being said, there are plenty of good books out there to help your games. As to what I'd suggest, I'd say it depends on what you want to run. Do you have an idea? Without...

What campaign settings are in print and what is good about them?

For a change of pace, while still being D&D, I'd seriously consider a campaign module like *An adventure path from Dungeon (Levels 1 - 20 or customize to end where you want it to) *Red Hand of Doom or the upcoming Expedition to Castle Ravenloft (5 or 6 levels only, so it takes less time to...

    Challenges in a 'celestial' dungeon

I thought to myself, the players I know would feel and be reluctant to kill, or even fight, a good aligned being. They might if forced, but it would leave an unsatisfying feeling, rather than making them feel like they'd successfully gone through a holy place. When considering what wouldn't make...

What do you want to see in the fourth Adventure Path?

That would be awesome to see some day. Would also make a good book if any of the WotC book line folks are reading this.

What do you want to see in the fourth Adventure Path?

The clash of nations and the urban saga would rock. I'll throw in two other ideas... Foreign invasion (like the coastal invaders of the Farseer trilogy), where PCs have to investigate and figure out what they're after (because it isn't obvious.) while initially roving to various hotspots where...

    best D&D Adventures

I don't think there's likely to be any "best", but I do think there's good. A few I'll metion that haven't already been mentioned... In the Belly of the Beast - very good module for introducing talking/npc interaction as an element of your game from the get go. Forge of Fury - This was just...

    Treasure and leveling comparisons: AD&D1, B/ED&D, and D&D3 - updated 11-17-08 (Q1)

I'm curious to know if this correlates to actual experience by those whove played the Paizo adventure paths. How long has it taken people to get through those? What was the frequency and duration of your play sessions?

Need suggestions for rewards for a mage tourney

What about things that lead to further adventures? *The rights to build a tower on top of a ruined fort? The rights to an abandoned wizards tower (with a gate inside that no one knows about, or malign spirit, etc?) *A position at court. The contest is to compete for the title of royal magician...

Adventures without much Hack n slash?

I second the nomination for this adventure. My recommendations aren't centered around specific modules, but rather structuring your own adventures to flow the way you're describing. Monte cook posted a sample of chapter 7 of Ptolus. In it, he mentions a common urban adventure structure that...
