    D&D 4E My faith for 4e crumbles

Only the quality producters can impact profit margins. Not enough rubbish sells. I'm not convinced they're moving away from the OGL, but neither do I see enough evidence to suggest they're leaning toward supporting it either.

WotC is going online. What do you want the digital initiative to be?

Searchable content is key. It should be like consumer reports, or a cooking magazine web site. You should be able to search for anything and have it come up. Even better if they post all the content from Dragon and Dungeon back issues, instead of just new content.

Pathfinder 1E Did WOTC take one for the team, help Paizo?

It does seem to me that they're helping, or at least not going out of their way to hurt Paizo, by not announcing anything. I think their strategy of responses from the R&R team is good, because it reminds me there are real people over there who are cool. A message from marketing wouldn't have...

    Young dragon vs trapped PCs

Have one of the NPCs use or ask a wizard to use some divination spells to get helpful information before they leave their safe area? Maybe give them enough time to run once the kobolds see them? Make part of the dungeon a tunnel they can fight in? This is a funny situation.

    REH style books and stories

The Heroes of Dark Fantasy site is cool. I've read Conan and the first of the Drus the Legend books. I'll have to check out the other characters. Thanks.

    REH style books and stories

I just picked up The Walking Drum at a used book store last night. Looking forward to it. I've been wanting to check out Bernard Cornwell for a while too, but I was thinking of starting with The Winter King. Anyone have an opinion on it?

What Gaming magazines are out there?

Technically Paizo has stated that Pathfinder will be books and not magazines. I suppose we'll have to wait and see if it reads like more of a book or magazine tone. I'm hoping for a blending of each.

Pathfinder 1E Paizo no longer publishing Dungeon and Dragon

It's a frustrating move, and will be made even more so if the changes that have made the magazines the current gems they are aren't carried over into the new online format. Personally, I'm more unhappy to see Paizo no longer controlling the creative direction, than I am to see an online format...

    Good, recent Fantasy books

I'd look at the other suggestions first if by other stuff you mean more vlad taltos books. I read a few more of the vlad taltos books after Jhereg, and ended up liking the first one the best. So if you didn't like that one, maybe you won't like the others any better. I do highly recommend his...

    REH style books and stories

I like the Conan stories, and REH's approach to grittier stories in genral. What other good sword and sorcery fiction is out there? Ideally something of similar quality. Any recommendations? Thanks.

    Party Magic Pool

This puts the idea in a much better light. That, I think is just them rushing to sell something and suffering the consequences.

    Party Magic Pool

I was inclinded to suggest something similar, but then I stepped back and though that I shouldn't be forcing my view of what is cool and/or useful on the players. I also shouldn't decide for them that party items are better than individual items. After all, the abilities of their characters are...

    Best.Pet.Evar

Back in the days of Basic D&D, my DM gave my 6th level wizard a panther familiar that would shrink down into a cub when not in the presence of the wizard (as well as at the wizard's command for easy hiding). One time the group was captured, escaped from the prison cell, and found a guard room...

New Dungeon Tiles - what do you want to see?

FWIW, I like your products, and have several. Keep making cool stuff and I'll keep buying.

New Dungeon Tiles - what do you want to see?

A good solution I've seen to cost saving here is to only use tiles/terrain for the 'interesting features' of the area. So for instance, if you're doing a forest, assume that the entire battle mat is one terrain type like grass or brush or dirt, and then only place a tile where the trees are, or...

New Dungeon Tiles - what do you want to see?

Agreed. The dungeon accessories, ship, wilderness, caves/tunnels are all good as well. To that I'd add town and city streets, castles, compounds (like a merchant family compound), and battlefield accessory set (like catapults and whatnot to use with the wilderness and castle sets)
