RPG Illegal File Sharing Hurts the Hobby

Yeah, but if I like the book (like Eberron), then I eventually do go out and buy it. The Eberron book still got paid for, I just 'borrowed' it (pdf) about a month beforehand. While it may be wrong, Keith Baker and WotC still got their cash outta me.

RPG Illegal File Sharing Hurts the Hobby

I didn't read every response, so forgive me if I repeat something someone else said before. I'll admit, I've downloaded PDF DnD stuff in the past. Why did I? I'm freakin' broke. When 3.0 came out, I got the PHB, DMG, MM. Then, I went and got the Forgotten Realms CS, Sword and Fist, Tome and...

    Warforged of the sea!

That's good news. Just didn't want to have to roll a new guy if he ever fell off a boat.

    Warforged of the sea!

If my WF with the Adamantite body feat falls into the water, can he swim? I'm pretty sure we'll be boating from Sharn to Xen'drik and I'd hate to fall to the bottom of the sea and have to walk and/or be killed by the pressure. Can they be killed by the pressure, what with not having organs?

    PC spinning out of control

I've had a problem of overlooting in my games too. Basically, the guys want to loot everything, even in-game story stuff. They'll often say so before the DM gets done fully describing the place. Well, it's just two guys in particular. I'm not even the DM in the game right now, I'm a player...

A poor man's, low magic flaming blade...

I had this come up once, a bucket of pitch and a troll. I had slipped a scroll of scorching ray into some treasure, but the PCs used the pitch instead (they were in an old foundry that some goblins were trying to repair and use, the troll was the BBEG's bodyguard lol). I had to come up with...

You know you're playing too much when. . .

I know I play far too much. But sadly, none of mine are abbreviations.. :( When one of my kids trips and falls down while acting all crazy... "Failed that dex check.." My 2 year old picked up a block and threw it across the room. It smacked the 5 year old right in the middle of the...

My WF Fighter. War Mind or WF Juggernaut?

Can't pick Slayer :( Has to be the one from the XPH. So, if I don't take Adamantite Body, what doors does that open? As I said, nothing is final. We use the 4d6, drop the lowest method. I'm going to post my scores, as they are right now. Note, people DID watch me roll lol... 17, 14, 20...

My WF Fighter. War Mind or WF Juggernaut?

The game doesn't officially start til Friday night. I could, if I wanted, take Psychic Warrior rather than fighter. None of my feats would change (since I only have 2). Would only have to re-work skills and 2 less hp, then add in my powers. I could actually mix Psychic Warrior levels with...

My WF Fighter. War Mind or WF Juggernaut?

You mean the Illithid Slayer? We've not really had dealings with Mind Flayers, so I doubt most of the abilities of this class would do me much good. Hmm.. perhaps.. skip the PrC for awhile and just go Fighter/Psion(shaper)? Even though I really like the Warmind PrC, if I'm taking a psionic...

    Broken Bones

For setting the bones, I go with this: DC - Type 10 - Easy; Limb (arm, leg, finger, toe) 15 - Medium; Internal and/or more difficult (rib, jaw) 20 - Hard; Ouch!! (skull and vertebrae) I know from personal experience a rib is a lot harder to set than your arm...

    Best Warrior/Mage Combos

Can someone please tell me what the fudge "gish" is? I like the Fighter/Warmage suggestion with the Battle Caster feat. A buddy of mine saw that and nearly pinched a loaf. He'd wanted to play a fighter/mage type for years, but could never get over not having his armor.

My WF Fighter. War Mind or WF Juggernaut?

With the +2 con adjustment for my Warforged (my only 18, popped it to 20 -- told you I rolled *good* this time lol), the hp between psion and psychic warrior won't be much of a problem. Only 1 less BAB. 11 + bonus pp.. that's not too shabby. Is there a rule that limits how much I can augment...

My WF Fighter. War Mind or WF Juggernaut?

So far, I've kinda got planned... Fighter 2/Psion (shaper) 3/War Mind.... Eventually, I'd plan for getting a few more Shaper levels. A living construct that summons his own construct to fight with?! War Mind PPs stack with his Psion PPs, so he can still Augment it. Rather than taking...

My WF Fighter. War Mind or WF Juggernaut?

If Neither, what would you then suggest? I'm starting to really like the War Mind. Yeah, the WFJ no-healing thing really got to me after awhile.

My WF Fighter. War Mind or WF Juggernaut?

My Warforged is a level 1 fighter. In your guys' opinions, should I take him toward Warforged Juggernaut or War Mind (from XPH)? If you pick War Mind, what's the best path? 2 levels of Psychic Warrior? 2 levels of Psion? Ect. Oh, and I rolled a high int with him, in case that helps.

    Broken Bones

Madam Pomfrey required a night to regrow all of the bones in Harry's arm. Not mend, regrow. Potter-style magic is way advanced in some ways (wizards can heal), and way behind in others (they have to have a wand in hand to pretty much cast at all). However.... In the debate on how powerful...

    Call for help

When I needed 2 Essence of Air for Nakaya's +15 agi enchant for her Ice Barbed Spear, I had to pay 18g each for them, as there were only 2 on the AH. I haven't seen them in abundance lately. Think maybe they slowed the drop rate?

    Broken Bones

Cure spells repair wounds. They don't give you back hit points, but also leave you wounded and bleeding all over the place. So, if they repair cuts and bludgeons and piercings, it's pretty safe to assume they knit broken bones as well. If they left you unrepaired, even when brought back to...
