I thought that too and then I ran some Nights Black Agents. Totally changed my view. I run it in Savage Worlds for system comfort reasons but it’s native Gunshoe system works well enough.

Supers and Romance for me. Powered people I can do, comic book style Supers I can’t. I’m not a comics guy, I don’t get the tropes, I can’t tell what makes a Supers story a Supers story. I have zero interest in Romance rpgs. Just none.

Mine was also my Dad. He had a regular D&D group on Friday nights, army guys and their spouses. When I got to HS we moved to Germany and he ran 2e games for my friends and I. It’s probably why I still have a soft spot for 2e.

Thanks. I’m running them through Arden Vul with Shadowdark now. Was just thinking about other options for when someone dies. I’ll take a closer look at them.

I’ve got the current Cursed Scroll volumes but haven’t dug into then. How do the newer classes compare to the core ones?

I like to use the full combat rules for major set pieces. Often combined with a Dramatic Task. For non-consequential fights it’s a Quick Encounter or Dramatic Task depending on the situation. Those rules work pretty well.

I’m pretty about being open minded about what we are going to play and how we go about it. I pretty good pace, both in combat and outside it, and keeping things moving. I’m working in role playing, accents, and h pique NPC traits in my current game and that’s getting better. I’m terrible...
