So, do you like Lodoss War?

I seem to remember reading an interview years ago where the creator of Lodoss War said that he loved Dragonlance and the story was loosely based off of that. Watching the anime, the story seems to line up with a great many Dragonlance elements.

    D&D III movie trailer

Pure awesome! I especially loved how Dr. Doom beat up the leper from Kingdom of Heaven and stole his mask.

Here is an interesting quote from that article I linked to. So it sounds like Brian Goldner was the one that got the entire creative team together. Very impressive.

At this point, that looks like a very good thing to me  Brian Goldner did an interview a few days ago about the various Hasbro movies here.

When Drizzt is in the underdark, the story is more about the drama and action, as opposed to horror. Elaborate sword fights when you can barely see the combatants would be a major let down.

Exactly. No Director of Photography would even wonder how to accomplish lighting in a "zero light" environment. They do that in movies all the time.

I liked transformers too. The military angle in that film was well played.

hasbro ceo gets recognition from marketwatch

LOL! :D Passion is very, very important, but skill and funding are needed as well. Typically a big film has 2 of the 3, but rarely do they all come together.

    Let's make some 4e iconics.

Here's what I whipped up. He doesn't have as much of a chinese feel as the written description, but for an iconic it felt more appropriate to have a look that was closer to the standard dragonborn in the PHB.

LotR's and the upcoming Hobbit are very similar to D&D. Really, even Star Wars is similar to D&D. Jedi have "magic" powers and spin around with glowing swords fighting the evil emperor and his "dark knight." Harry Potter is basically a story where children are thrust into the world of magic. As...

    Let's make some 4e iconics.

I considered taking a crack at drawing up one of these iconics if I found one that inspired me. First I wanted to make sure if that would be okay.

Brian Goldner has done some fairly amazing things with Hasbro the last 2 years or so. They went from a company on the downward spiral that many viewed as a dying giant, to growing movie powerhouse. Even before Goldner was CEO, the old top guy was very upfront about Goldner being responsible for...

    New Star Trek trailer online

Seems like standard military stuff. In modern times, jets, tanks, and aircraft carriers are piloted by teenagers and early 20's most times. It would actually be unrealistic if they were older. And captain Pike looks plenty old to me.

AICN Reviews the DDI Character Builder!

In my experience, AICN reviews everything in this manner. If they dislike something, then the review will read like something akin to a monkey flinging poo. If they like something, it's spastic-exciting. That's just kinda the AICN style. It's what their readers expect I suppose.

    Monopoly goes Blade Runner

Yeah, my thought would be that they could play up the recent economic melt down. Have some character(s) that either have nothing or have lost everything and bounce back to amass a fortune. Seems like that kind of 'rags to riches' story would resonate well with folks right now.
