Hey Logan Bonner or Mike Mearls, how to handle free actions after charge?

Thank god. After all the crap I've taken from my DM about Wardens not SUPPOSED to be able to charge and mark, this is a godsend. I love you... congrats on being in my sig.

    Hand of Radiance too powerful?

It took me entirely too long to realize I was the DM mentioned in this thread. I enjoy that immensely. My initial... Well, I wouldn't say problem, but possible.... let's call them "Stenanks" with this build is I feel encounters and dailies overall should be resources. To say that this is...

    Sudden Death Skill Challenge System

Personally I LOVE rolls that are really important. Any time players are blowing on there dice and screaming "NO WHAMMY NO WHAMMY NO WHAMMY STOP!" things are going well.

Looking NPC counters to PC Divination Rituals

Yeah what the criminal in your campaign did, is the real world equivalent of leaving his footprint and fingerprints everywhere. It takes some money and initiative, but it can easily be found who and where he is.

Looking NPC counters to PC Divination Rituals

In fact, I made all my pcs take it, because they had a very powerful group of beings would find and kill them fairly immediately if they didn't.

Monster Knowledge Check, Monster Roles? Minion or not?

personally I allow an insight or knowledge check to determine how "hearty" or "dangerous" an enemy looks. Knowledge checks can tell type affinities (red dragon-like things are usually fans of fire.), but not whether they have resistance or vulnerability to anything.

Reducing PC HP for more challenging fights? By how much? (Shorter fights problem.)

I'm sorry but I just could not let this slide. I told the DDI character builder to make an 11th level earthstrength warden (one of the least damage focused specs out there) and its at will does 11+1d8.

ugh math... str dex fighter in hide.

Combat Challenge and weapons with Reach

I did not know that. Wow... that makes Warden's fury much better. I don't feel like an idiot for playing a warden now. Thanks for the info.

ugh math... str dex fighter in hide.

I'm in the process of building a fighter. I was just wondering if a sword and board fighter could ever have a reasonably high ac (for a fighter) while wearing hide. Maybe there is a level where it evens out. All I know is that my str/con warden in hide and with a relatively high con has a 38...

    I love skill powers.

See adding in utility powers without any trade-off is going to lead me into many more instances of my least favorite position as a DM I like to be generally aware of what my PCs can do. Of course this scenario is fine once in a while. But when it starts happening EACH turn with someone else, I...

Hey Logan Bonner or Mike Mearls, how to handle free actions after charge?

In this one singular instance for one nano-moment in time, I agree entirely with Orcus Porkus and support him fully in his goal. This is a noble venture that must be seen through. And yes CS is just as reliable as any freshman english major with 4e books. It's just another person's opinion as...

    Need help with math justification.

I don't mean to be overly harsh, but that is the worst stat allotment I have ever seen an actual character having. I mean you have NO 8. that is just irresponsible. You also put 5 points out of 21 in your main stat... Yeah... see if your DM will let you fix that. I suggest (feel completely free...

Not strictly true. There are many utility skills that have a fair bias toward non-combat use. For instance: and

    I love skill powers.

I understand and condone the wish to want more non-combat oriented skill utility powers. (that's a thick sentence, :p) But I think this was at least partially an attempt to have skills be more relevant in combat. The awesome thing about skill utility options is that you can make billions of them...

    I love skill powers.

I respectfully disagree. I think it's very exciting that skills play a more prominent role in character creation. And I love that they didn't just stack more powerful options on top of what characters can already have. Heck if you have an optimized group it's already pointless to throw a level +...
