    two implement fighting

I know theres a dual implement caster feat. But Im interested in this question If I'm wielding a quarterstaff in one hand (using it as an implement) and a dagger in the other (as a sorcerer). Can I use two weapon feats?

    Battlemind: Blurred step

This is my solution to blurred step for the time being 1. Blurred step is a free action 2. battle minds have a feat exactly like "sudden roots" for the Warden. Balanced around the fact they need to take another feat to work with opportunity attacks effectively.

    D&D dual weapons

btw the more you play D&D the more questions like this will be easily reasoned. Trust me, it will not always seem this complicated and unreasonable. If you are having problems making characters that seem powerful or effective, try buying the DDI character builder for one month (id suggest...

    D&D dual weapons

    1. Only powers that specifically allow multiple attacks have them. 2. If you're only having one encounter per day the DM of your group should be taking steps to make this a suboptimal route (attacks in the night, important time frames, etc...) 3. It is legal but think realistically about this...

    Greater Critical Attack

there are rules for a level 11 PC with a ~47% chance to crit. Thus, I am wary of anything that increases the amount of damage a crit does.

    Does the shardmind seem overpowered?

If I ever play a shardmind, I'd choose to have the best of both worlds.

Treasures, Rewards and an NPC Party

Ok, my thoughts on the subject. 1. Although a cool idea, and desired by many DMs, using NPCs built "like" PCs is generally not a great idea. 2. The quickest and easiest solution would be to tell the PCs that this stuff is tuned directly to the people who used them, and thus cannot be used by...

    Does the shardmind seem overpowered?

They have very little going for them compared to say telepathy, closeburst CA powers, 3 skill bonuses, damage resist, synergistic Racial powers and Paragon paths.

    Does the shardmind seem overpowered?

If Minatours and Wilden were at all decent races. Like if they didn't completely suck at most things, then we wouldn't be having this discussion.

What PHB3 Classes stand out to you?

WOTC designers "what should ardents wear? Well, lets see clerics, warlords, bards all had heavy armor... ok then."

PHB3: Random stuff that doesn't merit a full post

There's a paragon path for rune-priests that basically makes them a defender. Just thought that was funny. Yes they will have to do something about hammer rhythm. I think they meant that more permissivly then restrictively for the charge attack. Meaning "when you are using this power you can...

    Stupid Question: PHB3 Minotaur Ferocity...

    Or just Amnesiacticy.

    Stupid Question: PHB3 Minotaur Ferocity...

I may be mistaken but in every immediate interrupt that I've seen, the action being prevented is not necessarily the trigger of the use. For instance, IIRC the fighter immediate interrupt would prevent them from doing damage by preventing them attack. If the power (or feature w/e) was triggered...

    D&D 4E I admit it. I don't "get" 4e psionics.

Or at least pure speculation (which is all my post is btw)

    Stupid Question: PHB3 Minotaur Ferocity...

So wait, someone hits you, which reduces you to 0 hp, which leads you to an immediate attack, which hits the enemy that hit you, which kills them, and somehow you don't get reduced to 0 hp, so you don't get to make the attack that came from that, so the guy doesn't die, so he gets to do that...

    Stupid Question: PHB3 Minotaur Ferocity...

I would say it needs to say either "trigger: you take damage that reduces you to 0 or fewer hitpoints" or "special: the damage is negated if this attack would somehow prevent the attack or the damage."

    D&D 4E I admit it. I don't "get" 4e psionics.

This is my problem with psionics which I can just right now express (ive felt it for a while but didn't know how to say it) Current optimized builds (aka cheese builds) are based around at-wills or dailys. There are two ideas for cheese builds: 1. Consistent ridiculous dpr (damage per round)...

    Best Encounter Power Ever?

I'm the DM of Frozen's game and the person with feytouched just joined. After seeing it in use, I have decided to give him several options 1. Lose the Daze and make the teleport-enemy melee attack an effect. 2. lose the teleport altogether, everything else works the same. If the monster doesn't...

Is Giving Out A +3 Weapon Generous?

I actually gave an artificer in the party I DM a +4 wand at level 9. The catch was every time he crit he was dominated (save ends) by some unknown evil entity.
