A Tournament of Cosmic Propotions! (Immortal's Handbook Rules)

I must say, I have no idea what a Dream Phane is (nor does Google, it seems) but it sure sounds cool. Anyway, I did a version based off of my revised Phane. I think he may be a bit too powerful for the tournament, but I'll leave the judgment up to you guys. Also, he uses my custom warlock...

A Tournament of Cosmic Propotions! (Immortal's Handbook Rules)

I'm pretty sure we don't have a Plant in the tournament yet. Anyone have any brilliant ideas for that? :P @Buugi 1: Yeah, the monk looks pretty powerful to me, too. It's similar to a sublime monk I did a while ago, but I limited their schools (can't remember exactly which ones). @Buugi 2: I...

A Tournament of Cosmic Propotions! (Immortal's Handbook Rules)

Hey, Buugi, are you by any chance familiar with this? I'd say it's a damned sight better than the regular Half Dragon template. :P I don't know if it'll be of use for Anaesthesia or not, but I thought I'd throw it out there. Also, I don't think I can do this Phane. I just hate the way they're...

A Tournament of Cosmic Propotions! (Immortal's Handbook Rules)

Oh, I thought you had other guys to work on. :P And, I'd have to think about backstory and such. Come to think of it, I never did one for Vasthultus, either, though I do have something vague in mind for him.

A Tournament of Cosmic Propotions! (Immortal's Handbook Rules)

Let me get back to you on that tomorrow, Neo, I want to see if I can make this Phane work or not first. I don't have any problem doing him if you want to me to, though.

A Tournament of Cosmic Propotions! (Immortal's Handbook Rules)

Sorry, I must have missed that. Been a long day. Also, I'm considering doing a Phane Warlock. Any objections to that? If not, what would be the best way of turning its innate SLAs to invocations? (I'm asking in terms of how much ECL you think that would be worth). Also also, random thought...

A Tournament of Cosmic Propotions! (Immortal's Handbook Rules)

Yeah, the dropping-to-10 thing seems completely unnecessary. How do we determine what their greatest ability is, if they have multiples of the same tier?

A Tournament of Cosmic Propotions! (Immortal's Handbook Rules)

I don't think it's really overpowered on her, just potentially abusable in general. Though... Abrogate is one seriously vague ability. It's entirely possible we interpret it completely different ways. I've always ran it as: negate a single ability (either of your choosing, or, if their...

A Tournament of Cosmic Propotions! (Immortal's Handbook Rules)

I like her style. :P Got to say, though, Abracadrabrogate seems like a Transcendental, given that Abrogate is one of, if not the only balancing factor in high level play. Granted, higher than this usually, but still.

A Tournament of Cosmic Propotions! (Immortal's Handbook Rules)

Yeah, we don't want this to get boring. On that note, maybe I'll dig up my Immortals Warlock abilities and give those a try, see what I can come up with. Maybe something a little more flavorful and a little less *SMASH* *SMASH* *9,999 DAMAGE!*

A Tournament of Cosmic Propotions! (Immortal's Handbook Rules)

Well, I suppose Mr. Hekatonkeires can just take Uncanny Weapon Specialization (or is it Perfect?) for his 50 very-definitely-not-Orichalcum greatswords then, since I don't think he's quite rich enough to afford them. :P The whole thing seems kind of silly to me. 12 times base weapon damage...

A Tournament of Cosmic Propotions! (Immortal's Handbook Rules)

Deny Celerity is hilarious, I must say. Not sure how essential it'll be for the tournament, but damned if it isn't bread and butter for epic level play in general. Also, is it just me, or is the market price of Orichalcum converted into a + value for weapons/armor ridiculously out of balance...

A Tournament of Cosmic Propotions! (Immortal's Handbook Rules)

Is it a given that a character capable of moving at those speeds is capable of surviving the physical effects of moving at those speeds? Wouldn't crashing into the enemy do some pretty incredible damage to the charger as well as the victim, if they were moving that fast?

A Tournament of Cosmic Propotions! (Immortal's Handbook Rules)

I'll see what I can come up with, then.

A Tournament of Cosmic Propotions! (Immortal's Handbook Rules)

Hey, Neo... I have what may be a profound question: How can there possibly not be a Hekatonkeires entered in the tournament? :P I have a version I did based on U_K's website version that clocks in at ECL 171. With some customization and maybe the paragon template, one of those would fit...

A Tournament of Cosmic Propotions! (Immortal's Handbook Rules)

That's a thought. I'm not exactly sure how intelligent Perfection is supposed to be, but it could possibly work. Though, I don't think his attack bonus is in that much trouble at the moment, as long as he has his Inscription powered up. The real danger he represents is his sundering abilities...

A Tournament of Cosmic Propotions! (Immortal's Handbook Rules)

D'oh! I totally forgot that his attack bonus with it would drop. I like that suggestion of yours, I'm going to change it that. Thanks. Edit: Made it so he can just lower and raise it as he wants as a Swift Action. Now, if only he didn't produce such hilariously low DCs on his effects. Oh, well.

A Tournament of Cosmic Propotions! (Immortal's Handbook Rules)

Quick note, I replaced Perfection's regeneration ability with a new ability to power-down his inscription for 1d4 rounds to double his plasma beam's damage, as... I have a feeling most entrants will be running circles around his 90 ft. speed. Let me know if that's too much, he's pretty...

A Tournament of Cosmic Propotions! (Immortal's Handbook Rules)

Novel Summoning is confusing me a bit. It reads as though it allows you to apply any template regardless of CR/ECL increase. Is that the way it's supposed to work or is there a limiting factor similar to Hybrid Wild Shape? Also, I don't think allowing Sturdy Construction to stack would be good...

A Tournament of Cosmic Propotions! (Immortal's Handbook Rules)

That Francium Golem looks familiar. That wasn't entered in U_K's design a monster contest, was it? Good call with the deflection bonus. *smacks head* And will add in the size penalty. And, well, you have to fault the broken VSC damage scaling rather than stackable Legendary Strength, no...
