How is PvP in 4th Ed?

As others have said, team pvp is workable with 4th edition rules. One on One pvp is a bit of a mess, however. Classes were designed to be balanced in terms of everyone having a job in combat and being able to contribute. They were never designed to fight against each other. Fighters in...

Help! My party has no healer!

To the OP A party without a leader will always be significanly weaker than a party with one. Period. No way around it. In your particular case this is worse because you have three strikers and one defender. OF COURSE your strikers are going to go down alot. One defender can not lock...

    Concerned about paladins.

Overall, Paladins are fine. There is one in my campagin (I was the dm through heroic tier, just handed off the dm chair and we are now playing through King of the Troll Haunt Warrens.) Our 11th level Dragonborn palandin has been the only pure defender through the whole run, and has done fine...

Paladin of Kord. Not recommended as a PC?

Quite true. Alignment has zero mechanical effect of any kind in the new edition. Its really justs an rp descriptor for those who would have freaked if they had removed it from the game all together (which some of the 4th ed designers advocated for, from what I have read.)

Please criticize and give advices to my 1st-level Wizard Build

What about Sleep? I will agree that flaming sphere is an excellent spell, and would might be a good contender for the go to first level daily. Im kind of surpised that no one has advocated a sleep spell, however. I know sleep is risky, in that if they make their first save you end up with a...

    East Portland/Gresham Oregon group forming.

Hi, Im a long time (25 years +) gamer looking to form a new gaming group in the Gresham Oregon area. Looking for 4th ed DnD, and I am willing to DM. I will use one of the published settings, most likely Eberron. Exact starting level can be worked out, but I am leaning toward a heroic tier...
