Wow - the suggestions here are suprisingly close to what Upper_Krust's "Challenging Challenge Ratings" document says to do. The most popular (and I think reasonable) suggestion here is to give the character 3 more levels of Bard, and - depending on whether or not you apply U_K's "silver rule"...

Yeah, I saw that listing on Amazon and was a little weirded out by it. I picked up a copy of the pdf mass combat rules, though. I'll find a print copy of slavelords sometime soon...

The tumble DC is definately in Oriental Adventures and not in the ELH, though I can't for the life of me remember what it is.

I thought I was done making pdf purchases for the week... Though I could just find Slavelords of Cydonia. No FLGS I've been to has it, though. The ENWorld shop might be the next best thing.

Hmmm the old one is rather unwieldy, isn't it... But if it started up again, and if I started using the design parameters to make classes (not what the document was designed for, but it's still a great aid), I'd feel bad about pestering U_K with questions.

Don't forget level independant XP rewards (http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=86471&page=2), which gets especially good around posts 69 and 70. In fact, I'd suggest reading the thread backwards from around... I dunno 73? Or Cheiromancer's last post? ...some of the later posts are just me...

People have already mentioned the Advanced Players Guide and Elements of Magic: Revised, but I wanted to second them - especially the Elements of Magic. Great stuff. Also - you could turn the system from the Psychic's Handbook from Green Ronin into a spell-point system pretty easily, too. -George

A bit of a bumb and some more information - Grim Tales sets tumble DC at the opponent's BAB+10 for moving through a threatened area and BAB+20 for moving through a space occupied by an opponent.

Let me throw out another recommendation for EoM(r). I do love the magic from AU, but the spell-point/spell creation system Ryan Nock put together is exactly what I need for my home-brew sci-fantasy crazy game.
