How many people subscribe to D&D stuff?

Last I checked (and this was a couple of months ago), they used to have a couple of days grace period if your subscription expires just in case it expires by accident.

Night's Black Agents: Countdown (demo encounter)

I went at the begining of the round, it is 71gamer who is left to go.

Night's Black Agents: Countdown (demo encounter)

One thing that I am finding as I read the manual is that this system allows for, from my point of view, a lot more narrative freedom than other games. For example, if you want to say that you have a brace of throwing knives strapped to your chest, then you do. Re-reading, I think I need to make...

Night's Black Agents: Countdown (demo encounter)

Also, lack of shooting dots just means that instead of rolling 1d6 and then adding a bonus, you just roll 1d6.

Night's Black Agents: Countdown (demo encounter)

Quinn relaxes as he hears Gabriella's voice come through the earpiece.

Night's Black Agents: Countdown (demo encounter)

Quinn starts as he hears the start of an explosion through his earpiece until the noise filter cuts it off. "Gabriella!! Are you all right? What happened?" he yells in panic as the filters disengage. He presses the earpiece harder against his ear as if that will help him hear her response...

Night's Black Agents: Countdown (demo encounter)

The camera in the launch room zooms in on Oliver's right shoe as he slowly slips it off and slides it towards the two gun-wielding goons, aiming for a spot between the two of them. (Athletics; spend of 2; 1D6+2 = 4) Oliver has a beatific smile on his face as he calls out to Hung "Hey...you know...

Nights Black Agents - Interest check

Stupid question, what do the chat-bubbles next to some of the General Abilities signify? The triangle is (I assume) another way of signifying their MOS. (On hindsight, I am pretty sure that if I go back into the character creation section of the rules, it will be indicated.)

Nights Black Agents - Interest check

Yup, I am still interested in running this, but a combination of real-life getting busy all of a sudden, plus me being unfamiliar with pool-based games (and if you read unfamiliar as never ever played one, much less run one, you would be right) means it is taking me a bit longer than I hoped to...

D&D 5E (2014) D&DN going down the wrong path for everyone.

I am lost here. Could someone explain to me how this (seemingly pedantic) discussion on whether there were upper limits on play in early editions of D&D has anything remotely significant to do with the topic of the thread?

Probably best to use the pregens. That way they are all built with the same level of skill.

Nights Black Agents - Interest check

I will probably start out with the 20 minute adventure penned by Piratecat, so that I can get my feet wet. After that, I will see. 20 minutes face to face will probably take a fair bit longer via the forums. So by that time, I should have a better feel for the system and what else is out there.

FOr those who want to know what it is about, here is the description from the publisher about this game, which runs the GUMSHOE system:

Nights Black Agents - Interest check

I recently purchased Nights Black Agents and, given that my face to face group starts making warding gestures at anything that is not 3.5, I figured I would give running in via these forums a shot. Would anybody be interested in playing in it? Some notes: 1 - I have never DMed anything before...
