IIRC*, it was also a case of some pdf stores selling pdfs of WotC products and *not* accurately reporting to WotC how much they sold. *I did a quick Google search and couldn't find any posts mentioning this, so it is very possible that I am recalling wrong.

I know in the Canadian government, there are clauses extremely similar to that with respect to IP. If you work in a given field, any invention you come up with (for example) that is related to the field in which you work is automatically the property of the government.

As soon as the author was made aware of the bias/edition war tone of the subtitle to the article, he got it changed. I am not sure there is much more than can be done.

That tagline was *not* chosen by him. It was chosen, as I understand it, but the Ars Technica editors. I also didn't read any bias or edition warring in the article. As much as it may surprise some posters here, disliking an edition because it doesn't match the preferred playstyle of your group...

When I asked a couple of months ago, that apparently places a rather significant load upon the servers, so when the servers start getting cranky, it is one of the first things that gets removed.

I am not sure you are accurate when it comes to DDO. Last I read, it has been doing very, very well. When they made it Free to Play, it started making even more money.

If you want stuff at a discount, your best bet is to go late sunday afternoon. The more stuff they sell, the less stuff they nee to ship home or carry with them. If they have their own truck or panel van, it is one thing. But if they are packing it up and shipping via UPS or something..
