i disagree but i accept that the letter of the rules is 5 ft. just try crawling, you can crawl at verious speeds. if i were to house rule i'd say a base crawl move is 5ft for medium and small creatures, 2.5 for tiny, 10 for large ect... haste should definatly affect this. as for the monks speed...
