    Mongoose exits 4E ?

Hey, I thought Ghost Recon was enjoyable too. I don't even play 4e, I just found the premise interesting. Maybe when I get a chance I'll work it up as a FantasyCraft game. :)

    Alien Invasion rpgs

The Invasion Terra setting from Mekton Z. It's basically a Macross and Gundam mash-up. It has psionics, invaders switching sides, etc.

    Unpainted Plastics?

He's uploading his own models for his space combat/battle game. I believe he has one model (for the Terran battleship) for sale at the moment.

    Unpainted Plastics?

I have a friend who uses them for his current gaming project. It doesn't do really fine detail or castings, but it makes great gaming minis (as opposed to art minis).

Sci-fi tech in the real world

Spoken like a tourist. Speaking the language on the ground, preferably like a native, is always more useful then even the best translator.

    Fantasy Craft Play Experiences

The Courtier and Keeper can hold their own in a fight, although ideally they should avoid directly engaging in combat in favor of ranged attacks and support roles (healing, buffing, etc). Explorer, however, is a quite capable combatant, primarily due to the large amount of feats and it's (insane...

    Fantasycraft?

IT depends how you want to define support. There are three short PDFs containing an Expert Class and some feats and an adventure. There's another adventure, campaign settings, and the specialist caster books in the pipeline. There's also a pie of stuff from SC2 that can be used. Then there's...

    Dark Sun Revised vs. Original

To me, the first edition was very Post-Apocalyptic D&D, where Revised felt much more like a Sword & Planet setting without the sci-fi. I enjoyed them both for what they were.

    Need some help from Philosophers.

If you can find it, look up the Devil Tiger dharma in Kindred of the East. In essence, "The world is corrupt and filled with wickedness and in the last of it's death throes. I will becomet he epitome of coruption and wickedness so as to push the world as quickly as possible through it's nadir...

Using older adventures with 4E, Pathfinder, Trailblazer, etc. – how do you do it?

I'm running a PbP of Rise of the Runelords with FantasyCraft. I had to bump the NPCs from their OGL conversion result (and as it is the PCs are still walking over the goblins). My biggest challenge is probably that I let someone play a Drake and I'm trying to figure out what to do about the...

    Assassins as a Heroic Archetype?

Or you can look at The Hand from the FC Iconics. Full of rage and hatred for evil, sort of Rorschach meets Altair. Speaking of which, Altair from Assassin's Creed, although I'm sure someone mentioned him.

Suggestion for compromise on Wizard's PDFs

Not so much. Congress can title a law whatever they want, but if you look at 17 U.S.C. §§ 506 on the page you linked, none of the criminal offenses is titled or described as theft. The NET act is titled the way it is because it strokes Congress's recent fetish for giving bills cute acronyms.

Suggestion for compromise on Wizard's PDFs

Dowling v. United States The Grokster case affirms that unlawful copying is as much a crime as theft is, but it carefully avoids calling it theft. Mainly because the Supreme Court already said that copyright infringement was not theft. Doesn't make it legal, ethical, or moral; but it's not theft.

Inheritors of 3.5 - An overview of what is out there

Point of Order: The Spycraft Espionage Handbook (ie, Spycraft 1.0) came out before d20 Modern and was written solely from the 3.0 SRD (other then the Wound/Vitality system from Star Wars d20). It has evolved independently ever since.

Suggestion for compromise on Wizard's PDFs

I doubt anything short of locking them in a room with Eric Flint for a week will do that. Probably not even that. Not to mention it'd be cruel to Mr Flint.

Catalyst RED - Buy PDFs at gaming stores

Because they need a scapegoat and PDFs are an easier target then Amazon, and a more palatable target then their own professionalism (or, rather, the lack there of) and business models. Online sales have been hurting brick and mortar game stores. It's not OBS or IPR or whoever else selling PDFs...

    Removing homogenity from 4e

Give FantasyCraft a look. For the Suave McFightswell example: Charismatic Aristocrat Soldier. Buy a moderate Charisma and a decent Intelligence (say, 14 in each, Charismatic will boost Cha by two). Take Bluff and Sense Motive as your Origin skills, and take Talented (Actor) as your level one...
