I don't have a single favorite. There's just too many excellent books. My collection of Ars Magica 5th edition books is close to perfection, but that's over 30 books...
Reminds me of the "Wraith: The Oblivion" RPG from the old World of Darkness series. You could probably get some good ideas and inspiration from it, if you can get access to it.
The premise sounds pretty interesting to me, but you should definitely make sure that your players are on board with...
I think many of these go in the right direction, because, imho, you're not asking the right (or at least not the most important) question: What's the reason dungeons exist at all?
In finding a satisfying answer to this question, it will be at lot easier to answer the question you asked in this...
It can be fun unless you overdo it. I recall a 'Scavenger Hunt' module which had about half a dozen adventurer parties compete to win a prize. That was chaotic fun.
Competing parties can also work wonders if the players seem to be stumped. Learning about their actions can give them an idea how...
I think Magic Realm, also first released in 1979 is more complex. The current version of the rule book clocks in at 273 pages, and there's a 282 page 'Book of Learning' that is meant to serve as an introduction to the 16 character classes you can play in the game. I still haven't fully figured...
For me it's a toss-up between Rolemaster and Harnmaster. Notice how both have 'master' in their name? I think it's meant as a clue to potential buyers: "If you want to play this, you better master them rules first!"
No he couldn't. These guest articles have a rather short word count limit. They aren't supposed to discuss anything in detail. They're meant to spark some ideas about things you may not have invested a lot of time or thought when creating your campaign (setting). I rather like these articles...
Nevermind the Percy Jackson movies, but Starship Troopers was a fun movie. Sure, it didn't have much in common with the novel that 'inspired' it, but sometimes that's okay.
Regarding Ready Player One: I already felt the novel was only about average. After seeing the trailer I was quite sure I...
IIrc, I stopped reading the 'Wheel of Time' after finishing 'The Dragon Reborn'. At first I thought you were referring to this book, because in this book nothing relevant happens for the entire book until the last chapter...
I watched one of their sessions and before that I watched one or two with the guys from Robot Chicken, but that's it!
I really don't have the time to watch others playing RPGs. I'd much rather spend my time playing myself!
Hmm, I don't know of too many deckbuilders with a superhero theme. In fact, the only one I recall is Legendary: A Marvel Deck building Game. It's been quite successful, so there's plenty of expansions (and re-themes) available for it as well.
After the forum redesign I cannot seem to find the filter function. Where has it gone?
It's rather critical to make use of the "Pathfinder, Starfinder, Older D&D Editions (4E, 3.x, 2E, 1E, OD&D), D&D Variants, OSR" forum.
