    4th edition open call

I haven't done 4e products yet. I'm working on the fundamentals of the 1st project as we speak. I'm done plenty of 3.X products, D20 modern/ogl products and most recently, true20 gaming materials. you can see my list of pdfs at my rpgnow storefront: RPGNow.com - The leading source for indie RPGs

    4th edition open call

OK, for lack of a better forum to put this in (as the open call and job vacancies forum has been closed, and the EN marketplace is hard to navigate), I'm going to place an open call for game writers here. What I need are people thoroughly knowledgeable in 4th edition game mechanics to write...

Alien races: The Bizzarre form VS the vaguely humanoid form

Dragonstar's a pretty cool setting. Awhile back, I had contacted FFG about maybe picking up a license to publish material for the setting. It was around the time of Origins, though, so everyone was busy. I may have to contact them again.

Alien races: The Bizzarre form VS the vaguely humanoid form

Wow, that's pretty amazing! See, now somehting like that would make a great "cthulhu'esque" adversary.

Alien races: The Bizzarre form VS the vaguely humanoid form

Good point! The answer is probably no, because they are still too non-human in form for me to accept it. My first question I asked myself when reading your post was "why would something like that even want to do those things?" It just doesn't make sense to me in that context. Of course, then...

Alien races: The Bizzarre form VS the vaguely humanoid form

I also think that really bizarre aliens work best as NPC's, where the GM can run wild with their cultures, bodies, psychology, etc. That's half the fun of a scifi/space opera game, meeting strange new races... And killing them. ;)

Alien races: The Bizzarre form VS the vaguely humanoid form

Ugh, I had a long post that got eaten by Enworld.. dangit. Anyhow, As I mentioned before, I tend to fall in the humanoid camp, for a number of reasons. I need to be able to identify with a race on both a physical level and to a lesser extent, a psychological level. For instance, I have no...

Alien races: The Bizzarre form VS the vaguely humanoid form

Hi everyone, I'm wondering, as far as believable/playable alien races go in a sci-fi / space opera game is concerned, what is more attractive to you, a race that is nothing like a human in form and function (no human features whatsoever), or a race that has some humanoid elements ( legs, a...

Dual-statting my next true20 Cthulhu book with BRP rules: feedback appreciated

Hello everyone, I'm looking for someone to check the mechanics as we convert them. If you see any issues with this stat block, please let me know. I'm still learning the BRP system. This is a statted NPC (minus background information) from the Elizabethan book. De la Poer, Gules STR 13 CON...
