[One Bad Egg] OBE Announces "Open Gods" project

I love this idea! I think you'll be seeing these gods in Scarrport: City of Secrets.

Tiny preview for Scarrport: City of Secrets

We're in the home stretch on it. Doing some last minute checks, changes, things of that nature. It might not be out by the 15th, but it'll be out before April.

He's definitely NOT balanced. We're still in the design phase for this guy. He's the "Big bad" for a cult I'm working on.

    GSL NPC/Monster Blocks

You know. I'm going to admit defeat on this subject. To be clear. I don't have any problems creating new monsters. I'm only worried about NPCs that are existing races, like a dragonborn, or a human, elf, etc. But none of it matters now. I'm going to produce my NPC blocks like this and hope...

    GSL NPC/Monster Blocks

Yes, I'm wanting to reproduce enough elements of a power so as to make it useable, but not break the GSL agreement. As far as I can tell. I can reproduce the math parts like such: m Mace (standard; at-will) +23 vs. AC; 1d8 + 6 Other entries, like the Plague of Doom Power are reprinted to a...

    GSL NPC/Monster Blocks

I think you could make a "Sneaky Balhannoth," because the original entry is Balhannoth. You aren't redefining balhannoth. you're creating what amounts to a new creature. I could be wrong though.

    GSL NPC/Monster Blocks

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, that seems like the easiest way to go, but the problem, is that products that don't have full entries (like, say, an adventure) make it more difficult on the DM, not easier. I understand that any adventure requires prep work on the part of the DM, but looking up...

Tiny preview for Scarrport: City of Secrets

I'll definitely be doing errata before the print version. I actually haven't done the repair/medic bot. I'm not sure how that will work yet. I'm currently working on this guy. I'm not sure about him just yet, though. Maltheron: Spawn of Lodrak Level 13 Elite Brute (Solo) Huge Elemental...

    Mindless creature trait

Is there a Mindless creature trait? I've been looking for it, and I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know where this might be found, if it even exists?

    GSL NPC/Monster Blocks

Sorry if I was unclear. The potential problem areas are as follows: m Mace (standard; at-will) +23 vs. AC; 1d8 + 6 r Holy Thunder (standard; at-will) * Thunder Range 5; +27 vs. Reflex; 1d6 + 12 thunder damage and the target is pushed 5 squares. R Plague of Doom (standard; encounter) Range 10...

    GSL NPC/Monster Blocks

Yeah, I agree it can be very frustrating, that you can't reference the page numbers. Your way of doing things is a bit confusing to me. Are you trying to say we should show people how to advance the monster in levels?

    GSL NPC/Monster Blocks

Forked from: Revised GSL TODAY! As has been mentioned in other Threads, the GSL still hinders publishers in regards to publishing monster nand NPC statblocks. As I understand it (And Scott Rouse has said as much in other threads on the GSL forums at the WOTC boards), while you can't reprint...

Recurring Villains - Up a level, down a rank

This seems like a pretty cool idea, though, personally, I'd like the recurring villain to scale and become more effective as the party levels, not less effective. It kind of takes the sweetness out of the victory if this guy who was once really tough is now just a punk a** you can wipe out with...
