Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft Review Round-Up – What the Critics Say

Here are well articulated but far from glowing reviews of the book: http://www.fraternityofshadows.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=10859 http://www.fraternityofshadows.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=10858 http://www.5mwd.com/archives/6628 My favourite Ravenloft material was the stuff published...

D&D 5E (2014) New Drow cultures coming in Starlight Enclave, the Lorendrow and the Aevendrow

Saekolath sounds a lot like Sekolah, shark god of the sahuagins. Wish they'd picked a different name for the Lorendrow city.

Awesome, thanks so much for doing this! EDIT: Loved the review format, too.

Spelljammer Spelljammer - The Gith Wars

That would actually make me take a look at Spelljammer, a setting I otherwise have never had any interest in.

D&D 5E (2014) Which Non-Classic/Magic Settings Would You like to see WotC Publish?

I could imagine them making RPGs using the D&D 5e engine for other product lines owned by Hasbro, like G.I. Joe, Transformers, and Power Rangers. It's not what I would want, but I could see them doing it. As far as fantasy settings are concerned, I also agree with the OP that something alone...

Which non-Star Wars or non-Star Trek Sci-Fi RPG do you currently play?

Nothing at the moment, but one day I would like to try running Dark Heresy (FFG 1st ed), a Mutant Year Zero/Gamma World mash-up, an Alien mini campaign, and perhaps Rogue Trader or Only War. I own products from all of those lines, but haven't done anything with them... yet.

    D&D 5E (2014) Greyhawk: Pitching the Reboot

Another thread in this forum also made me wonder: what if a 5e Greyhawk campaign book included rules for playing 0-level characters (e.g., see the 1e module Treasure Hunt, which was a generic module)? Those kinds of rules might complement the grittier perception that many seem to have of...

    D&D 5E (2014) Greyhawk: Pitching the Reboot

Continuing on the subject of WotC's publication record vs. Greyhawk... Although not a setting book per se, we shouldn't forget that WotC also published two massive Greyhawk adventures for 3.0/3.5: Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil Expedition to the Ruins of Greyhawk Before that they...

    D&D 5E (2014) Greyhawk: Pitching the Reboot

There's Lord Gosumba's Old School 1e/2e Order of Ulek campaign, but I'm not convinced it would appeal to a younger demographic: Another alternative, which might be more palatable to new recruits, is Streets of Leukish:

And in the 5e Adventures in Middle-Earth setting, which sold well, Cubicle 7 completely redesigned the classes and stripped them of spell-casting ability (including the lore master). There are no wizards, no sorcerers, no clerics, etc (notwithstanding Istari and rare NPCs/monsters with...

D&D 3.x Why does the 3E Fiendish Codex: Hordes of the Abyss go for so much?

D&D General best Feywild (or the like) adventures/modules?

Maybe the Planescape 2e module Something Wild? I've never perused it, so don't know if it's any good. The DM's guild product history includes the following notes: "The expansion of the Beastlands is the most important, because much of the adventure is centered on that plane and the goals of...
