I fully understand that Modrons can be dangerous. So are the halberd-weilding cows on the hidden level in Diablo. Doesn't make them any less silly. Now mephits? They're designed as comic relief, and well designed, so it works. Modrons are just dumb.

It's been a while since I've read 'em, but didn't our heroes meet some Ice Gnomes when they climbed Stardock? I'd have to be a bit harder on "Swords Against the Shadowlands". As in, "I wish I'd never read that."

I'd be happy to have one of the Gamescience d5s as a curiosity, like my d30, but not at 5 bucks. And if I need a d5 for gaming, I'll use the same method I use for my d4s that I prefer the caltrop design and my d3s: use the d(x2) and repeat all the numbers on the second half of the faces.
