    Not at this time, no.

Code Monkey Lose WoTC License (Merged)

What do you consider the "average D&D player"? Each generator out there has their own band of followers, so I'm rather curious what, in your opinion, is the average player.

    PCGen 5.11.3 released!

Because its an alpha release. When the middle number is even, those are our stable releases. So, 5.10.1 is the most recent stable release.

Well, eTools was initially created by Fluid, CMP inherited it. PCGen is an open-source project, CMP just does datasets for it.

Its been bantered about several times. However, from what the code and data team has said, IIRC, it would take pretty much a complete overhaul of the code to move from *.lst to XML.

    Open Source d20 API/Engine

*takes off PCGen Bod hat* Alright, the name "PCGen" is owned by Bryan McRoberts, PCGen's Benevolent Dictator. If you want to use that name, you'll have to talk, at the least, with Bryan. Secondly, per the OGL, the title of any source is PI. So, if you want to state that you have Fantastic...

I'm also not Bryan, but I think Jonas hit the nail on the head.

Continuously changing? Granted, new tags are introduced, but the old ones are deprecated before outright removal so folks can move forward. When was the last time you used PCGen that you experienced this?

Code Monkey Lose WoTC License (Merged)

PCGen did not have a license with WotC. CMP did, and the could produce datasets for eTools and PCGen.

Code Monkey Lose WoTC License (Merged)

Do you still find PCGen runs that slow? The code team has spent the past months (maybe even going on a year now) cutting out redundant code to try and speed it up. You're paying for someone else to enter that data in for you. It comes down to how much you value your time. Also, the dataset is...

Code Monkey Lose WoTC License (Merged)

For almost 4 years now (if I'm recalling the time frame correctly), CMP has had the license, from WotC, to support their books in electronic format. So, I'm a bit confused on your statement about "support WotC books".

PCGen was told by WotC, before CMP was created, to stop distributing the closed-content datasets. CMP was formed to initially patch eTools. Then they got the dataset license as well. CMP doesn't tell PCGen what to do.

Code Monkey Lose WoTC License (Merged)

Just a point of clarification, CMP had the license, PCGen did not. When PCGen initially sat down with WotC at GenCon '02, PCGen was hoping to get the license, but it was given to CMP instead.

    Advanced Character Guide: Arcane Archer

(Received as a review copy) (Last server crash ate my original review. This is a copy/paste from the one that I also put up on Mortality) This product, as its title implies, is primarily about arcane archery. There are two versions of this PDF. The art one has 35 pages, while the...

So you are condoning the distribution of closed-content sources without a license?
